No it isn't. " Obese adults have higher BMD (bone mass density), thicker and denser cortices, and higher trabecular number than normal adults. Greater differences between obese and normal adults in the older group suggest that obesity may protect against age-related bone loss and may increase peak bone mass. "

Now the question is, do these fat people lose their bone density if they get thin? cuz that would mean Shaun is being overly optimistic with his estimation of how much weight he needs to lose

Its true but the effect is completely insignificant. Just the typical kind of research that a fat person would use to justify saying "dude its true fat people DO have bigger bones, thats why I weigh so much!" when bone mass in total is maybe 0.5 - 1 kgs at most out of 200kgs.

Are you slow or something? I already pointed out this is not a weight loss challenge, its a fat loss challenge.

Out of my experience I would tell him to do fasting and keto. And to def try to lose as much weight as possible as fast as he can. Bc sooner or later he will hit a “wall”. Where it will seem that he can’t lose anymore. And maybe even gain some back. The body and metabolism is crazy good at adjusting and keeping us from getting too skinny.

no its not a fat loss challenge, maybe if you knew how to read i wouldn't have to explain simple things to you right now. its a bodyfat percentage challenge, like the ratio of fat in your body.
Losing bone density while keeping the same amount of fat means your bodyfat percentage will go up. so then u'll have to lose more fat to compensate. got it now?

Per Twitter, Deeb did interview with Jeff Platt saying bet is off?

But that’s not the main issue. Suppose over the next few months he only loses 5-10 pounds and believes it’s going to be a nightmare and probably won’t make it. A few days before the WSOP do you think a) or b) is more likely

A) instructs chef to only make him grilled chicken over bed a kale for next month or so
B) he texts Bill Perkins trying to buyout for half

Even if you don’t think it’s more likely there has to be some probability of b) right? The start of WSOP is an inflection point. I get how he has the means, but he must have the desire
Might be Scotchadamus

He chose b) I guess?

No idea who this demaci guy is but a post like this is a clear sign to never give this guy more attention, work with or be nice to him.

Hey guys, like my post and I'll tell you the name of this serial killer everyone's is trying to catch.

I started mine a few weeks ago. Went from 278 to 254. But now hit a wall. Hopefully can continue to lose.

I can guess the reason, he likes eating food

As expected the WSOP was an inflection point, he didn’t want to deal with it both and if he wasn’t happy with his progress by then he’d probably bag it

His hired guns didn’t give him a chance though. He was eating oatmeal and fruit and then doing lateral raises in gym

FWIW one of my wife's colleagues claims her husband has been eating a bowl of oatmeal with fruit (and nothing else, thanks to Wegovy) almost every day since the start of the year and is down >100lb since then. No idea about body fat and how true the "almost every day" part is.
(I've been eating 1 cup rolled oats with 2 cups of milk and roughly a half pound of fruit for my first breakfast most days for the last 5+ years. But I don't try to lose weight).

Deeb looks significantly slimmed down on that picture. Side note: Wearing a Lacoste shirt never hurts.

Are you lifting heavy weights? A number on the scale isn't really what matters - body fat % is more important. You also need to change what got you to that point to begin with - "dieting" and doing cardio is not really that sustainable and having no muscle mass looks like ****. Lift heavy weights, clean up your current diet slowly = best long term results.

Yeah I didn’t want to get into a debate really on whether grains and fruit sugar get in the way but regardless of that there are certainly foods he could have instead eaten that basically all sides on this view would consider better and he would probably enjoy more

And no one can possibly think he should be doing light lateral raises or running backwards with a weight cart. Either waste of time or injury waiting to happen

If this thing is still on his Dream Team doesn’t seem to be doing him any favors

Honestly, at the end of the day, it’s all about discipline. You can have the greatest “team” in the world but if you lack the discipline and desire to stick to it, it won’t work.

Especially in this day and age with all the information you could possibly need to find a healthy diet and exercise regiment right at your fingertips, it all comes down to discipline and desire.

Bad team can definitely help derail. While there is a ton of information available online there is a tremendous amount of disagreement. It’s like the limit holdem forum where everyone is a certified expert but someone posts a hand and half of them say raise and other half say fold

And if he got injured running with that heavy cart that would be a big blow
