You should make a magnet or something that whenenver a live game starts, it makes people fly buttfirst from wherever they are to the first available seat.

Ivey probably 5bets AAxx and KKxx pre, right? So, Isil should be removing those from Ivey's range. And then Ivey's line is float flop then c/r turn... he's never doing this with one pair, right? Does Ivey have bluffs in his range here? The board is so dry, maybe he does (but, if you're going to bluff then why not bluff the flop, why wait for turn?). Or, Isil thinks Ivey has worse 5s in his range that were slow played on flop?

Meh, I'm sooooo unqualified to critique these guys and I definitely was not involved in the game flow at the time.

In the other hand posted Ivey had AAxx and did exactly as you said so Viktor could prob put him on AKxx or something decent hoping the AKxx in Viktors hand takes some of Ivey's out perhaps? I'm not a PLO expert or anything. After the flop came dry and viktor hit gin he probably decided he wasn't folding.

I haz the trips, if he got better f it

Viktor's AK are blockers to the hands he's hoping Ivey has (AAxx, KKxx), they work against getting stacks in. As bread_maker2000 says, it looks like Viktor got married to his hand on the flop which is a huge mistake in a game where equities swing so much from street to street. Viktor can be so bluffy, maybe he thinks Ivey is getting frisky here with a naked queen + a straight draw? Does Ivey 3bet/flat AQ87ss pre? I dunno.

Again, sorry for derail. This isn't really a strat thread and I'm not skilled enough to really critique these guys -- and even if Isil made a pretty big error in this hand, we should realize nobody plays perfect anyway (well, except Ike, ldo).

I forget his name but there was a blond guy with longish hair that was in a Rocky Balboa hoodie with Viktor at some point that people figured was Martonas.

FWIW, I definitely remember the location being listed as "Sweden" when Martonas used to play on FTP.
09-22-2015 , 02:48 PM
Me too. Back on fulltilt in 2008ish

Thought Martonas/Dr. Pill was Fredrik Andersson.
Most compelling argument was that in some live MTT it was confirmed martonas was still in. In the late stages of that tournament only a few Swedes were still in, of whom all screennames were known. When the tournament ended for that day, martonas logged back in again.
I'm aware this is a pretty vague reconstruction which might have some mistakes in it but thought I'd share anyway.

Also, in some chats on FTP it became clear Blom and Fredrik were close, as confirmed by the same hoodie they wore, to which someone referred to earlier.

Doesn't really make sense for a guy to be playing small field $1k buy in tourneys by day and 50/100-500/1k by night though surely?

^I remember this (RRRR) as well
