This is big news and deserves it's own thread if true
maybe the poker media will pickup on the story and confirm or deny
reposted from 3rivers:
"I just talked to a buddy of mine who is a dealer at the Bellagio. He said he was at MGM today and people were talking about what happened with Russ. I guess they have a new poker director that came over from the Bellagio last week and when he found out about the incident he told his staff that Russ is no longer welcome in the room. Don't know how true and MGM probably won't discuss on the phone. We need someone in the room to ask a manager and verify. Good news if its correct."

Bottom line, the scandal took millions of dollars from a rich site and gave it to the poker economy.

1. Players were reimbursed.
2. Russ is rumored near busto, where did his money go? Back into the poker economy.
3. If your weren't a UB investor/share holder/ or Russ then you probably didn't take a long term loss.
4.Long term, nobody and I mean nobody lost more emotionally and financially than Russ Hamilton.

In the end,rich ass poker site took the loss, not the players.

Facts are facts.

Why would a casino ban him? I don't know what running a crooked internet poker site would have anything to do with a casino. Only thing I could think would be it causes a lot of trouble from people berating him. Casinos don't ban people for having a shady past

Bozzytiger, great level, wp. And to answer an earlier question, why doesn't he get beat up...Well I'm your typical poker player nowadays, under 6 ft, under 150lbs and under 23. I'm not ****ing with Russ. At least not physically. I'd love to sit with him and announce to the whole table "Oh my God! Do you know who this is??? It's Russ Hamilton! He won the main event!!!"

If I get cheated, is Brad Booth and Mike Matusow gonna run around Vegas looking for the perps and make his life miserable? No chance watsoeva.

8 or 9 rich poker players got cheated, then reimbursed. Now 2000 micro stakes players from NVG are running around outraged, ready to get get revenge on Russ.
