It doesn't ruin it for me. So what if Mike raised that much preflop? Maybe in his mind he was making a statement to KGB, "I'm here to play, and I'm here to gamble, let's go!" Of course KGB at the same time could've said to himself "Who does this kid think he is, I won't be bullied around by such a ridiculous overbet/raise and repopped!"
I think the scene kind've set up that these two were there to gamble and play some real poker. God, now I've turned into the OP. ****ing great.
Actually I take that back, I like my analysis. The OP's analysis is out of whack and down right horrible. Please tell me you only play poker for fun OP, please please please. You assume way too much in your post which is a sign of a weak poker player to begin with.
