Alex Rodriguez has been known to play some higher limit poker cash games. If anyone saw the replay of his interview with Katy Couric did you see his body motion when asked if he ever used steroids? HIs head nods up and down as he says no. When asked if he was ever tempted to use them watch his eyes, as he looks away and the says no. I had heard he plays in some of the bigger games in NY and I was curious if any of you NY locals have had the pleasure of taking A Roids cash? Just thought it was interesting his "tells".

ure location could have been clever and funny, however the fact you spell it out (69x2) makes it uncool

its only cheating if you gain an unfair advantage. seems to me everyone taking steroids kept the game fair.

edit: its like in the olden days of vegas, you had to lie about your handicap to get a fair game (according to danny robison from his pokercast segment).

Not bad, but turning gay-rod into gay-roid has a real "je ne sais quoi" to it...only I don't think you'll see it all over the ballparks.

OP, your reads are pretty off....He gives away absolutely no indication in that interview.

The one he's talking about is here:

Really? Just below the video you posted look at the 3rd one on the right and it's the one I'm talking about. The 1st 20 seconds says it all.

This one>>>> A-Rod: 'No' To Doping (1:46)

I played 20-40 limit with him a few yrs ago.
He played pretty solid for a few hours.
Beautiful lady and friend walk up.
He has about 1700 in front of him when he gets
up to leave the table.
Tells dealer to split remaining money equally among all
players and dealer.
He leaves....a hero forever in my mind.

I wouldn't play poker with A-Rod, I'd be worried he was cheating.

... whereas some people would think that breaking the rules and the law to gain that advantage would itself constitute the unfairness of the advantage.
