Depends. Some of the things are true, but I understand its not respectful to go throw every detail around. His closest friends are posting most, if not all of the details on FB so its going to be out there. It's a sad, but real issue.

Played Borgata Main Event with him a couple years ago and was star struck when I drew his table as I was always a fan of him for how real he kept it. He made the table enjoyable, was talkative etc and super aggro obv. Talked to him on break outside and he was telling me he was living in FL now playing etc but would be moving away to get back online soon. Only got to meet him once and honestly it's something I'll never forget.

its not gonna happen...i dont mean to be insensitive, but you cant expect everybody to just post "RIP".

1. its the internets. people are disrespectful.
2. its NVG...as in news, views, and GOSSIP. its kind of the theme of this subforum.
3. the posters are poker players, which are some of the worst human beings on the planet. they dont care about anybody but themselves and are also some of the most unsympathetic and cold-hearted people in existence. you would be more likely to get respect on 99% of other forums on the internet.

...anyway, RIP lil holdem. he was always entertaining and definitely had his own style. looking at a picture of him youd never think that skinny wannabe gangster was such a sharp MTT crusher. dude was one of the biggest online tourney beasts in the world back in the day. certainly a polarizing figure and maybe not the most pleasant and nicest guy around (ask brent hanks) but he was without a doubt hilarious and brought life into the often boring world of poker. he actually reminds me of devilfish in many ways because of that. sad that we lost 2 of the craziest and funniest guys in poker recently.

Chatted briefly to him in Monte Carlo with an acquaintance who knew him, was definitely a character, and he was wearing a grill.

I guess walking around with the scarlet letter of being a sex offender didn't help his cause in making it in life. It surely defined his path. Poker is one of the few things he probably could do after that, but at least he did it well. Sad sometimes you don't get second chances in life. My read was he deserved one, even if I never would have been associated with a person with his image, sex offender or not.

I just wanted to clear up the statement you made that his closest friends are the ones that are putting things out on Facebook and so forth .... That is not true .... His closest friends are the ones that have not said anything and they were waiting for the official statement from the family before they did anything ..... Please know that the media and all the forums with people talking about it are just going to make accusations and speculations please do not continue to do that if you have not spoken to his immediate family then you do not know what happened. I was given the official statement that the family issued directly from the family so it could be released to let everyone know chad's condition...
