well there was a 48 hour timetable that stars + ftp would cease operating even where they are legal. so that's the first thing we'll watch.

Online poker is a game of skill enjoyed by tens of millions of people in the United States and across the world. And, Full Tilt Poker remains as committed as ever to preserving the rights of those players to play the game they love online.

Mr. Bitar and Full Tilt Poker believe online poker is legal - a position also taken by some of the best legal minds in the United States. Full Tilt Poker is, and has always been committed to preserving the integrity of the game and abiding by the law.

"I am surprised and disappointed by the government's decision to bring these charges. I look forward to Mr. Burtnick's and my exoneration", said Mr. Bitar.

Unfortunately, as a result of this action, Full Tilt Poker has decided that it must suspend "real money" play in the United States until this case is resolved. However, Full Tilt Poker will continue to provide peer-to-peer online poker services outside of the United States.

As far as i can make out from the us gouvernment site this is not about playing online poker. It is about the shady way full tilt poker, poker stars and Cereus went about processing payment and deposits in the USA market. Apparently they have created multiple fake businesses and payed off banks to accept money to and from these fake businesses.

Its is vey unfortunate that the sites were forced to do this to overcome the laws but now that they have been caught they may be ****ed. Making it easy for the US gouvernment to create there own local sites and keep all the money for them selves.

Sorry for the spelling

I guess all those deposits to FT towards the end of last year, that never cleared the banks due to the processor problems, are just lost in space now.

we're all too hypnotized by our iPhones and plasma TVs to look at the ground below our feet being pulled out from under us. the people of this country need to start raising hell.

for example, my father was a 9/11 first responder. as a result of the 100 days (13 hour shifts) he worked down there, picking up the melted body parts of his friends might i add, he has a lot of lung problems and couldn't continue to work. it took him a DECADE... a ****ing DECADE to be approved for disability. his department and government looked him in the eye for ten years, every 2 to 3 weeks, and told him "oh, you just have allergies, sorry, you don't qualify for disability". this government doesn't give a **** about any of us. this country won't stand behind anyone, even if you stand behind it in the most extreme and noble way possible. after thousands of dollars in legal fees, thousands of dollars in missed pension and overtime, a law was finally passed a few months ago that granted him a disability check. it's sickening. ****ing ten years later. /rant
Yep, sickening is definitely the word. Government is just another arm of corporation now anyway, banking just one big ponzi scheme. You need a revolution over there, quick time. Weird thing is that to keep slaves happy you should always ensure they have the minimum required to live (ie. food, water, shelter etc). Seems like the government is just brazenly ****ing people now, and not too bothered about the repercussions.

Anyway, sorry for off-topic rant, but this **** really bothers me.

Trying to burn Star/Tilt to the ground with recent DOJ indictment of multiple charges on Isai/Bitar (both foreign citizens). Each charge carries heavy fine and prison time. Demanding foreign governments hand over these two foreign citizens to be tried and punished/imprisoned in the USA.

Helloooo, if this is not policing the world I don't know what is.

“It’s just one of those phenomenal coincidences that happen very rarely in a marketer’s career where something so monumental occurs in the online gaming community as what happened today,” said Al Underwood, marketing director for Hustler Casino in Gardena

hhhmmmmmm I smell fish.....
04-16-2011 , 05:12 AM
and this is why you don't drop out of college to play poker for a living.
04-16-2011 , 05:12 AM
who leads the DOJ? the attorney general? eric holder?
04-16-2011 , 05:12 AM
Pokerstars still has 100K players on it right now which I think is about normal for this time (it's about 11 AM in Western Europe right now). No U.S. players anymore playing anywhere. Wondering how much players will be around on prime time when usually there were about 200K-300K players playing.
