+1

Who knows what the deal or lack thereof was. Maybe Jason wanted more options in the US and that was a sticky point. Maybe Stars wanted to cut his salary? Just because the agreement is over doesn't necessarily mean it was purely a decision from Stars.

I thought Jason brought a lot of value to Stars and with more and more states opening up I feel he'd continue to bring value. I wish him the best with his platform and I think he will land more then just on his feet.

His tweet announcing it sounds like hes going to be playing on a site that allows US players so it will be nice to get some streams with him playing online poker after a few years of downtime(I don't follow the live event coverage he did for stars).

Would certainly drive traffic to those sites so I imagine hes going to be getting a decent exclusive deal somewhere.

What does that have to do with your ridiculous and inaccurate thread title (or post that is missing your inside info)?

It sounds like in your desire to create drama, you consider any parting ways of an ambassador and Poker Stars to mean they've been "fired", regardless of the lack of evidence of such a thing. Unless of course you have information that Somerville (or Negreanu) was under contract and Stars ended it early. If the two parties don't choose to renew their agreement, it isn't a firing. Heh?

What's wrong with getting fired? Football coaches, basketball coaches, and Trump Administration staff are fired all the time. No big deal.

Saying someone has been fired is implying that they did something that beached their terms of employment.

Correction:

Jason Somerville GENTLY SEPARATED from Poker Stars

I hope this correction will make some overly sensitive people here happy.

It's not that so much as the word FIRED in the title is all-capped to attract attention/anticipation. Yet as has already been pointed out, the OP fails to deliver specifically because of the word FIRED. The OP doesn't contain info that's in line with what a reader might expect to see when opening the thread, because the title misleads the reader?

Obviously nothing personal. In one way it could be looked at as posters here being "sensitive," but there's good that comes out of it too. I accidentally posted some incorrect info on a separate topic recently (see posts #67-70 here) and was lucky enough to have a longtime poster correct it before more readers saw it and misinformation began to spread.

Why not just post the article title instead of making up a sensationalized one? Ez game.

He pretty much made twitch poker as it is. He was playing one table for like 5-10k viewers and was more entertaining than any other fool in the directory atm. Would be sweet to see him streaming again.

Should Registered 2018 get FIRED from 2+2?

I like "amicably teased apart" better.

I believe the term is conscious uncoupling.
