The cheapest live game I have in my area is $2/$5 and I, quite frankly, cannot afford a $500 buy-in daily. Online poker was my way to practice; I was trying to build my bankroll, and it was going rather slowly, but I was starting to become successful and becoming VERY serious about studying, and then the FBI pulls this...

Are there ANY play money sites or something where the players still take the game somewhat seriously so I can get some practice? I still have money on Bodog but 1) I would have to purchase handgrabber because Bodog has no way to download hand histories to your computer otherwise and 2) I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with the idea of playing with real money online on ANY site until this whole deal blows over (please clear me of my concerns if I have nothing to worry about).

I'm going to Reno at the beginning of June and I really would rather not be rusty =\

I have no idea what to do... Suggestions?

Mods: if this is in the wrong forum, pls move.

but I doubt americans will jump to deposit on any other site at the moment until there is some more information released, who knows what the sites currently accepting US players will do.

Post #8 - try a sub site. It's not the same as $$$ sites or live but it's far better than play money.

Bodog and cake have like $25 min deposits.I think most of us can afford this kind of min risk compared to what just happen.

This is a really great suggestion. I'll definitely be looking into it.
