Wow. So much Drake hate here, I'll assume most of it is coming from people who aren't really hip hop fans. Someone said he has some good lines "here and there"...really?? His metaphors are consistent and his wordplay is niice.

lol wait, what? Most of the hate on Drake would be coming from actual hip hop fans that have more of a basis for comparing his talent to what's actually good. Nice metaphors? Nice wordplay? compared to who? lol.

I saw Supernatural live at a show a few years back. I think he called this "the anything game" and he definitely freestyled for about 10 minutes about anything and everything people passed up to him. He never stuttered or missed a beat, and every punch line was extremely clever and relevant. He is unreal.

This is real hip-hop imo, the stuff that gets played on the "top 40" radio stations should be called 'hip-pop', it's all about the production and not at all about the content or quality of the lyrics. But that doesn't mean it isn't well made (for its intended audience).

This is a huge embarrassment. I came into this thread just to post this video. Everyone wondering where the hate comes from just needs to watch this. Any hip hop artist paid like this should be able to freestyle without the Blackberry and he cant even read stuff he has already written because he is such a nervous chump.

sorry about that. I didn't watch the show.
Awhile back I had to take some kids to a De Grassi mall tour to see him. Actually, I knew him as That kid who got shot. He was with That kid who got syphilis.
I didn't have a conversation with him or anything - just took the picture while he autographed photos and thanked him. But he seemed like a nice guy - just slightly dorky.

I must have heard Best I Ever Had a hundred times before I found out that Drake=Aubrey Graham=that kid who got shot on De Grassi.

- also - according to his wiki he's half American. His father's from Memphis, and he spent time there, which explains why he says "i want this forever mane" like the guy from Hustle and Flow.
