4k 8k limit i think.

when andy beal was in town, there was a huge game. 50k 100k limit.

i think it was even raised to 100k 200k.. not entirely sure though.

There was a book by Michael Craig about the game..

The Professor, the Banker, and the Suicide King. It's a pretty good read tbh.

It was rarely 4k/8k, it was more usually 2k/4k. I think they really don't play that high anymore either.

if you here any pro talk about the big game its the 4k 8k game and the guys who usually play it all the time play online now but it runs occasionally. the 2k 4k live game is not referred to as the big game, its hard to play the nosebleed stakes and survive for most of the pros and we forget that they were playing 8k 16k a few years ago and many pros who were famous tv stars and some who were the best cash game players we have never heard of went busto

Game always depends on whos in town and what time of the year it is. 1k2k plo was running this summer during the series.

The 4k/8k went regularly at the beginning of the poker boom and after Andy Beal made all the Big Game players much richer. It consisted of Chip, Doyle, Barry, Chau, Eli, Jen Harmon, Minh Ly, occasionally Negreanu, Gus and many others I'm not thinking of. It was a mix of many limit games and occasionally had NL or PLO but with a cap.

They played form 2K/4K up to 4K/8K limit (stud, stud8, omaha8, razz, LHE, etc) and no limit games with 1K/2K blinds and 75K-100K cap (NLHE, PLO, NL 2-7 single draw).

The games played really depended on the players. I know they also played chinese poker.

After the limit games dried up the bigger games were NLHE/PLO like the Brian Townsend vs Sammy Farha game (which stard I think at 500/1000 and they finished playing 1K/2K/4K with antes Brian, Sammy, Patrik, Bobby Baldwin, Nenad Medic, Zigmund, etc)

Yes, forgot Ivey.

But, he's not the reason they got rich off Beal in the first place. Ivey wasn't very involved in the early matches, just the last match where they were down big and Ivey dominated.

In the first ones Todd Brunson was the big winner but enough Andy Beal vs Corp. talk...this used to be a Big Game thread

I think its dead now that Doyle is old and busy with doylesroom, Chip Reese died and Ivey, Gus Hansen, PA and Benyamine all play online.

Really...most of this Big Game "information" is speculative.

When it comes to the Bellagio, the only verified game is the 10/20.
Coincidentally......Phil Laak was sighted playing there recently.

Confirmed that Kenny Tran and Gabe Thaler were playing some 5 handed mix in Bobby's room on Sunday. Looked like they had 5 cards. NL 2-7 single draw?

i'd be surprised if they never played A-5 or 2-7 TD as part of the rotation. can anyone confirm / deny?

Barry has said they play anywhere up to 13 different games depending on who is playing. So those games would be in the mix for sure.

I know for sure they had 2-7 TD at times. It's the reason Doyle asked Negreanu to write that chapter in SS2.
