If you sell poker coaching- the very least i am expecting is that you are a winning player in todays games.

Like,if a person was winning 10 years ago that doesent mean that person are capable of coaching players to beat todays games. Poker change,and its obvously important keeping up.

Even though we have seen many examples of players that was winning before but start to struggle in todays games turns to coaching in order to make the money.

Ive never been into sports betting personally,so its hard to say the difference.

What's worse shilling for a scam like coinflex or selling poker coaching courses when you are a mediocre/losing player? For me it's a no brainier which ones worse but I'd love to see the results from a poll on here.

Sure,some amount of responsibility you can put on the customers shoulders. In terms of researching and such before you commit to paying 4 grand for the poker out loud course for example.

That being said,that doesent remove the responsibility we as a community should put on the coaching providers. A responsibility to not rip off their customers,and to not scam customers.

I totally agree. Reputation means nothing and it's all about "what have you done lately". A lot has changed in poker in the last 10 years and I expect a coach to be in tune with modern poker strategies.

I've always disliked Berkey he has always had this (holier than thou vibe and he just seems to outright suck at poker but I don't get why he is being attacked for not playing Airball heads up unless he said he would 100% and then backed out.

Berkey has everything to lose and several other reasons I could think of. He's probably not rolled for what Airball wants to play. If Berkey loses, his S4Y academy will take a hit with credibility. I have no idea how it's credible as is. He said in that lame documentary I watched that their academy wasn't selling like he thought it would, hence why they made the documentary.

Berkey isn't a HU specialist or anything, If they play live it would take so long to even get a relevant sample, he would be risking a lot in a high variance situation. I doubt Berkey can even beat online cash in general.

Airball is aggressive and not money scarred at all, Berkey would be in tough spots. If it was live he would have to deal with Airball verbal attacks as well. Berkey is awful at trash talk too.
