They let their mask fall off and now they are putting it back on, it's like your girlfriend dumping u for another guy and then regret and say hey baby im back

They ve shown that they cant be trusted and they still hold the monopoly, this is bad news, id much rather see other sites growing rather then seeing these guys swallowing the entire industry little by little.

I wont return and tbh I don't miss it at all and the smaller sites aren't as bad as they are made out to be.

Stars reverting back because they know it was a mistake and they make more money this way. They will continue to screw over the players at any chance they get, this one backfired on them that's all.

I did and would probably have continued to play on stars, not quite sure what point you're making. I'm not moralizing so I'm also unsure what you're talking about re high horses.

Pretty silly for anyone to think that this was some sort of sneaky plan to make the remaining changes less hated. Stars probably got more negative attention over this than any site ever has over anything other than stuff like FT/UB scandals. Obviously they are not better off now than if they had just added spin n goes or whatever other dumb changes that still remain.

I hope PS gets equally praised considering how much derision they received. PS is a business. Their goal is to make money not to make players a living.

Time and again they have shown they not only care about the players but also listen. I'm sure this is a business decision above everything else but it clearly shows a company that understands that the customer comes first.

People will come in this thread and rail on PS for being evil and it will clearly illustrate that no matter what PS does people will complain.

As a player in the US, I envy those who get to play on PS.

quite obvious what it will be

"Stars are an innovative company always looking for ways to improve the player experience and the changes were made with this intention, it's good to see that they are big enough to admit they got it wrong and to roll back the changes when it was shown not to work like it was intended. this is 2 plusses in the stars column"

then a bunch of coughing and gurgling as he starts to choke a little on the **** coming out of his mouth.

or something like that

Why in the world would they get praised? Rake was very high six months ago and still is.

Tomorrow I'm going to double your beatings and I'll expect you to be very happy if they return to normal levels in a few months.

Unless you were praising their rake six months ago I suggest PokerStars deserves no praise over this decision.

So when they said they were doing it for the good of the games they were lying?

It was all about the money! What a surprise.

Obv. they were lying and are trying to make max money, but they could've had the intention of raising rake and using some of that money for advertising/making the games more fishy, however when the games died out a bit they knew the best way to max revenue was to lower rake and so they did that.

I thought it was lol though that this was the first of a number of planned rake increases which are now scrapped.

Does anyone have the figures showing what (if any) drop off in traffic there was after Nov 3? I don't recall people flagging it up until they want to find a different reason for this change of heart.

so if you have a factory, for you its ok to make people slaves, coz its all about the business, it doesnt matter if worker is satisfied as long as you and your factory makes money....

come on...

Your analogy doesn't make sense, we're the customers not the workers and they have no obligation to please us!

They tried to increase their bottom line, it didn't work.

This post contradicts itself so many times.

The initial increase wasn't because they hated players. It was done because they thought it was a good business move. The reduction isn't because they like players it's because it is deemed a good business move. Nowhere do players feelings come into either decision.

"we have now returned the rake to pre-November 3 levels in most instances"

Does this mean they reverted all increased rake changes except SPnGs?

We need PS to be more specific.

.
As happy as I am that Amaya realizes that making these increases could kill off games and their site, it just means that they will get more money else where even harder; Like SN and SNE etc etc.
