GG is super innovative and is crushing the competition. There must be very smart people in charge because now we are taking this for granted but every changes they made is great for regs and recs. The software is next level.

In the meantime Pokerstars is "insulting" regs with their chest (that feeling when you brick a session with 3/4k in buy-ins then receive a 10 cent chest...) and their non existant support.

The Aurora version is absolutely terrible, the site was extremely nice to play on before this update. Why not allowing people that don't want it to keep playing on the former version ?

At the end of the day why would people choose to play on a worst software with 0 rakeback and smaller prize pool ?

while not on gg poker level their soft is still the best on market evan aurora. also for mobile, they have the best soft hands down.

aurora is completely rubbish, before aurora stars had the best software, but with forcing aurora they have fallen out of the top 3.
Why they dont have the option to use the old engine is beyond me.

You can still use the old software on Stars.

i know but they dont support it, you have add a line in the user file,
its not like giving an option in the client like choosing between run it once/twice

I really dislike Aurora too and far prefer the older engine but saying PS software has fallen from top 3 is complete hyperbole tbh.

in my opinion it is. On at least 3 other sites i have way less lags, glitches and freezes. might not be the case for everyone but for me it is not top3 anymore

ridiculous statement from a ridiculous person and based on nothing. I have a very good PC and I have zero issues on other sites or games that require a lot more, its just aurora.

If you don't have 3g+ cpu power (not sure about 8 ram that's generally enough anywhere), you can't run their graphics, though you can try extra cooling, as I do with some movies and more demanding games.

A laptop has a problem with heating, needing to keep the temp in 88C, though that may not be the problem specifically with Stars, but whatever, my i5 2g+ laptop isn't strong enough to handle their graphics/Aurora, so I don't play there; when I will, I will have a stronger computer, just not sure how strong it needs to be, planning some i7 small box (if no heat problem) 3g+ 16 ram kind of stuff with 2x1k storage that I consider a minimum for stronger computers. As Linux, it would cost at least 1k. Windows for gaming is a must. The prices seem to have gone up since 2017 or so when I bought my laptop.

Even in 2018, the mobiles were cheaper (bought 4 of them) than 2 years later when I looked again; RAM, storage have increased, battery less so, and the small sizes (they are selling now especially big sizes), doubled in price and usually not available even. My current mobiles cost 50-100% more than they cost 2.5 years ago. Stars is one of the rare sites that offer their mobile play as horizontal but unfortunately offers no stats and no notes while the "PC" players have them, additionally to other goods. And one times out multitabling regular tables with a mobile.

Somebody asked them about it via email and they are cool with it.

If you are german please dont play on GGpoker, they are charging absurd amounts of "rake".

I'm starting to realize you can't get it in 3-to-1 in PLO. You can't just get it in because your opponent sucks and is trying to give you there money. GG plo and me... WTF. Partypoker PLO and me. I lived off omaha until around COVID.. then death set in. DEATH. GG is better than pokerstars. I'm playing on somebody elses account on there, since i'm banned for no reason apparently, and Stars is really, really boring. They also have the hardest sattelites in poker. I don't get the allure of playing here. PLO hl doesn't run. Probably me before i got banned scaring everyone away. LOL. but yea... pokerstars is boring. That's exactly how to describe it.

Pokerstats for me is still my favorite site, I use pokerstars and gg poker
I do prefer pokerstars out if both softwares but what gg poker has done and built up in the last 4 years is incredible..

It's good for the community that neither overtakes the other then there both always gunna try and be innovative and competitive with rake , bonuses , innovation etc..

Pokerstars got lazy and started to hammer us on bonuses etc. Because they could they were head above any of the competition. Unfortunately that's good business savvy now they have competition

It would be the same if gg poker rises way above pokerstars eventually they get greedy knowing they customer base is so huge they can afford to take liberty's

The best thing that can happen for us players is they stay neck and neck for years to come as they always be trying to improve software, fight of cheaters bots etc...

if they lower rake or give more rakeback sure and treat their customers with respect and integrity than yea they can be #1 again but i don't see that happening. Hope im wrong for the players sake. They are too short term thinking
