PokerStars No Longer #1 Ranked Site, GGPoker Overtakes Stars' Cash Game Traffic - Page 6 - Poker News

It's not the same people and the software is worse than it was a decade ago. I play on Stars because it's the only option in my state for legal OLP, I still hope they fail as them succeeding would be the worst possible outcome for USA online poker. Stars was my favorite site too, 3 owners ago.

All online traffic is tracked, btw, Stars is way down...

I am sad to hear you do not like the place anymore! I am a play money player as yourself due to the USA laws. I love the people there and all the games. I came there when Full Tilt went down under. There are some very good play money guys there. I am in aww! Who cares if traffic is down or what other people say. Play where u want

GG Poker is owned by Chinese psychopaths. They are a bunch of gangsters/criminals. The rake is super high, the rewards program is bait n switch and if you win big, instead of paying you they steal your account balance. Dont play on Gangster Gangster Poker aka GG Poker.

but maybe play money players with a weird crush on a poker site should not refute criticism from long term real money players on that site. Especially since the volume is tracked and for everyone to see.

Good thing he made his last comment because nobody really wants him to get involved.. although that would be wise since the next ban probably wouldnt be temporary.

But seriously, to get things back on track: PokerStars has done the same thing Party did when UIGEA hit - submit to bullshit regulations. Back when UIGEA hit they didn't and Party lost its #1 spot to Stars/FTP, now GG doesn't with half of Europe regulating and therefore they're taking the spot.

The fun thing is - I don't think GG as an Asian company will ever comply (fully), therefore they might be here to stay for longer than PP/Stars did.

Stars put all their eggs into the "return to the US" basket. Good luck with that, what an absolutely ******ed decision.

I don't know whether or not that has been a big factor, but it shows the difference in public vs. private ownership. When UIGEA was passed, Party was public and Stars wasn't; now Stars is, and I assume GG isn't.

I'm seriously thinking about depositing to GGpoker. I mix lowstakes cash and mtt, so I want to ask this. I remember some time ago(maybe two years) invoker(Russian high stakes reg) said that rake is unbeatable at GG poker up to NL1k. I think rake was uncapped back then and they have preflop rake. Now it's capped it seems, so is it beatable now at low stakes, say NL50? How about fast fold poker? Hope for inputs from guys who play there.

Still better at 100 and 200 because you can achieve 50% rb there if you grind for a while.
