i can not believe that there are some people defending the changes back then when they cut off SNE and implemented those gay steps and coins, and now these new "rich dynamic" system...

I'm pretty sure there were no regs defending the changes back then, and there aren't any now (beyond an insignificant handful). The only people I've seen defending the changes are bitter live players who could never beat online.

b/c a lot of ppl put all their eggs in one basket and are angry. this is why operators are called 'greedy' while poker players talk about 'maximizing EV'

right now AYA still has some heavy debt load, but casino expansion seems to yields results so at some point the ship will be in safe waters. so i guess table cap is on their 'longterm list'.

anyway, after the recent developments i guess the most important question this year, will there a william hill fusion, which could be a big game changer ... AYA and GVC would bring benefits, the latter might be a safer option, but we'll see.

Pretty much yes imo. Allways thought you can't get worse rb system than the 888 one but atleast there you know you wont get anything back. This system just gives you false hope and still you get nothing back. Unless you are a solid punter and net depositor.

Pretty much my reading of it too.

How credible is the "chest" thing?

i cant multitabling anymore because of that so i have reduced my hands played by like 1800%. i think i was the worst consumer for the company cuz i was a micro cashgame winning player who irritatingly destroy the brand new fishes in their first poker experience.

on top of that, i exploited so much of their good promos during the years that my bonuses and rakeback almost cover my rake paid for the last 8 years.

and i know theres a lotttttt of players just like me in russia, romania, etc... who still take the pain in the ass to keep that 24 tables open

Was going to chime in with the same thing I've been repeating for years, a ~4 table cap solves all the problems these ridiculous complicated other options have attempted and failed to achieve but Stars won't do it because their revenue would take a significant short term hit. It seems they would prefer to let the frostbite kill them instead of lopping off a few fingers and toes and living a relatively healthy life well into the future.

I am probably in the minority, but I think the chest with random rewards sounds fun.

Fun till you get 0.50 spin tickets week in row, then 1 time 5$ casino play, and biggest reward in half year will be some ****ty 11$ tournament ticket. For like 5k raked...

They've effectively been trialling the chests with the Card Match promotion they've been running. Also, call me a rigtard, but despite a stated 24% chance of winning $10 and 1% of winning $100, I managed to win about 18 $2 prizes in a row this last time they ran that promo.

Would be interesting to know if everyone gets the same effective rb with chests, or if the prizes that regs win will be smaller/less frequent than those the fish get.

In theory its a great idea for amayastars because any gambler /rec player is going to look at it and think wow! I could win anything! even 0.0000000000000000000001% of the time a MILLION DOLLARS!!!!! But will ignore when 99.99999999999% of the time they get 0.50 back for raking $10 or whatever the cost is going to be per chest.

Similar to popular video games (league of legends, overwatch, counterstrike) that all run on crate systems now that get their 12-20 yr old customer base to pile money into them hoping for the super rare prize and be happy when they finally get that shiny $300 weapon after paying $800 in buying and opening crates.

Anyone who is even partially a poker focused reg is likely not going to like this new system because there are no guarantees or planning on what rakeback you get and it's all rolling a dice that you know in the long run is super profitable for amaya and hurting your pockets compared to prior VIP systems / other sites. Which hopefully = people leaving for other sites.

"Please can you randomize the rakeback amounts, because there's not enough variance in poker already", said no one ever.

It's even more annoying the fact that this is just another way they can hide the fact that they are bending everyone (including recs) over, such as hiding the rake on beat the clock formats / hiding rake increases from anyone who isn't looking hard for stars changes. Recs will look at these chests and just think oh cool! But not think about how before they would get coins to spend on $10 and a bar that told you when you would get that $10, instead of fill your bar then get to roll a slot machine with terrible odds to get your random prize.

Hope it's a disaster on their denmark/italy tests

I want to see how the population gets distributed on the bell curve and some numbers for any potential RB-reducing cash grab before hating tbh.

You can spread the wealth around without messing with the EV of the rakeback, and without having people fall into the extremes of the bad end of the bell curve on a monthly or even weekly basis. The personalised rewards and the boost make me a lot more optimistic.

Sky not falling until numbers are revealed and evaluated imho.

Just read an article about how Amaya's profit has risen by over 18%. I'm not sure how accurate this is but if true, gg

When you have spent ~3 years taking away customer perks and giving those perks / $$$ rewards to yourself instead , your profit will go up. There's only so many things you can keep taking away though
