Yeah that makes a ton more sense obviously, for some reason I read the 3 as a 2 and that he was unpaired the whole way. I was so perplexed with the call when I thought it was K-8 high
It's not just that he's blocking 3 diamonds, but specifically which ones like not having the 5
while having the 3

that block Obst's downcards from giving him flush + straight opportunities on 5th.
