I'm a little behind on the stream, but is the Alaei that's playing in the PPC the same that was on the first few seasons of HSP?

If so, he looks like he's aged about 30 years.

That K-8 high call on the end by Ray D after 3 bets went in on 5th is one of the craziest calls I have ever seen in any game, gotta love the

Ray D knew he was dead, but the odds got him caught up, also against the tightest player at the table, obst has folded his way to a ton of money since 10 handed play

He has a pair of threes, but blocking 3 diamonds he knows he should've found a fold anyhow. A lot of very interesting stuff from what I've seen so far. Looking forward to binging the coverage

Their live coverage has been kinda embarrassing. Apparently their graphics can't handle more than 7 players so they couldn't show the hold cards until they got down to 7. The announcer kept apologizing and telling viewers" we can show hole cards once we are down to 7 players, so you should start rooting for someone to bust". Like what kind of two bit operation is poker go running? Live streams are handled better on free streaming YouTube channels for crying out loud.

I've appreciated the coverage of more non-final table days and more non-HE events this year. The last two days of the PPC streaming leading up to the final table was great, and getting Kevin Gerhart into the booth for expert commentary was a big plus.

I think the main issue was that the table only had 7 card readers installed.

Yeah that makes a ton more sense obviously, for some reason I read the 3 as a 2 and that he was unpaired the whole way. I was so perplexed with the call when I thought it was K-8 high

It's not just that he's blocking 3 diamonds, but specifically which ones like not having the 5

while having the 3

and 8

that block Obst's downcards from giving him flush + straight opportunities on 5th.

Ashton obviously knows what he’s doing but somewhat surprised he dumped a bunch of chips off with that 97543 dealt in 27TD.

Six handed UTG raised, button Takerchi 3bet, and he came in for a cold 4 from SB and drew one. It’s a virtual lock at least one deuce is dead and some high % time two of them are out. OOP with hampered drawing prospects should have just let this go.

Ended up calling turn raise by Shakerchi with one out with some possible “outs” to a payoff hand.

Obst just folded 8833ss in the CO with 43bb and with Talal on BTN with the shortest stack with 30bb. Tong was next shortest in the BB with 40bb during the PLO Hi round.

Now I'm terrible at PLO but that fold made me filch. Now I've only mainly played Omaha is cash games and know that is a std open.

Is there anyone more competent , not hard, at Omaha tourneys able to tell me why he folded?

Agreed on the card reader obv. But it was explained why the stream had to switch tables every break. It would be unfair to show Helmuth and Ivey's hole cards for two days and have other players not have any of their hands seen.
