Daniel N a well known player..


Was watching him playing 5k heads up on poker stars...


after he had been battleing for about 20 mins...


he said lets gamble....


all in Q/8 offsuit and won!


Do you think players should be playing like this with that kind of money?


I know he is a great player but come on gambling 5k it sends the wrong messege out about poker in my eyes.

wtf do you mean? Is it a sit n go or cashgame and did he push all in or did he call all in and did both have 100bb plus or what the ****? There is a lot of situations where he can have eq with Q8o and according to you it sounds like he called a 100bb push all in pre with Q8 off and my guess is that he didnt.

You're going to get abused for this thread, but...

... sometimes, people gamble. $5K to you means more than it does to the people who call it off with Q/8, so you really aren't talking about something within your realm of expertise; suggesting that the amount of money in and of itself has some sort of moral constraint where one must only call it off with what is absolutely certain to be the best hand is bizarre, ******ed, and quite possibly, gay...

it's entirely possible that open shoving with Q8o was correct, it's just that live players like to talk, daniel negreanu in particular likes to talk, etc etc
