The funniest part of this thread is "I heard this from a friend of a friend of Daniel Negreanu's."

As if Daniel Negreanu wasn't friends with everyone he's ever sat down at a table with in vegas besides like 2 or 3 people rofl. You pick the most friendly guy in poker to try to lend credibility to the friend of a friend claim.

Believe they were referring to Daniel post on Full Contact Poker where he mentioned that Colman had a beef with high stakes players but did not want to spread gossip. Personal gossip he meant not business.

Why do people keep saying he won $15M? After settling up with his backers and paying taxes, he most likely pocketed less than $1M.

I actually agree with him not wanting the spotlight and refusing to do interviews. People thought Duhamel was rich after his win and guess what that got him, a superficial girlfriend who set him up for a beating & robbery.

The only thing worse than winning a lot of money and subsequently having people (guy who you talked to once in middle school, 17 3rd cousins, a neighbor's brother's friend, etc.) come out of the woodwork with sob stories asking you to "borrow" (aka if they can have) some (large sums of) money, is having said people come out of said woodwork thinking you pocketed a lot of money when you really didn't.

Moral of the story: Skip the interviews, avoid having 17 3rd cousins come asking you for money.
