I love TwoPlusTwo. Any reader here should be alerted that transfers suck. Get the cash in hand before the transfer if you must, must, feel compelled to do a transfer in which you cannot win and can lose.
I don't feel sorry for suckers. This is the gambling business. I only hope it is enough of a warning that it will save this poster and others money.
How many of the people looking for stake money are offering a good deal?? I would never loan money around poker.
The fictional famlily I write about, the O'Malleys, five generations of con men, gamblers, musicians, and snake oil salesman are patterened after my mother's family. I would not have done a transfer or loaned my mother, and she would not loan me. Why do things with money that cannot help you and might make you a sucker???
you're an idiot. all your spam posts
suck
. does anyone bother to read doug's explanations?
for a number of reasons, ****ty US sites are going for like .90c/$1 for cash xfer, so trading 30k online for 30k cash is a huge win, saving you about 3k, and i'm sure a lot of completely rational people would have jumped all over it. w/ the information doug had (partial), it seemed that there would be no problem getting the money, and his transaction had a very high chance of going smoothly. even if doug knew that brad's playing 5/10 and in tough times, the chances of him scamming is still probably less than 10 percent given connections and status (despite results).
it's not a risk i would have taken, but all this OP hate is completely misguided. and LOL @ the thought of doug needing to suck up to brad booth. he's a very good player, very socially intelligent, and probably doesn't blink twice at phil ivey let alone brad booth.
