wat happen to u v lucky. You learn lesson for almost no money. The amount this stuff goes on is unreal and almost every HS player gets scammed once in their life. It's kind of like telling that girl that you like your feelings and then later on in life ur like ohhhhhh rite lol i get it. The lesson here is TRUST NOONE.

This is an unregulated economy with a lot of ppl who got rly f rich and have no life experience with that sort of thing. Money is ABSURDLY freeflowing and it's a rather green society, though over time it's slowly hardening i guess (you are helping this, before thread I didn't even know who brad booth is for instance). Ignore the morons who are badmouthing you, consider the fact that they can't beat 10 cent poker, they don't have money to get scammed off, and then don't waste ur breath to reply. U r rich , u not need to worry just not make mistake twice.

Now as for ur strategy to get the money back . I know u know about seducting, so You should apply your skills and make the booth fall in love with you. With your clearly superior handsomeness and poker talent he will be OVERWHELMED by you and if he is not gay already maybe he will be gay. Then you can meet his parents. steal their car/s.

LOOOOL absolute gold (and a bit if wisdom thrown in)

That's why in developed countries the default rate on residential mortgages is between 5 and 10 percent - 99.9% of the time repayment of loans is not a problem.

Lending money is stupid unless you don't care to ever see again the money leant (e.g. a loan to your kid, staking your degenerate gambler friend), or you are capable of enforcing (legally or extralegally) whatever terms you impose for the return of the principal.

If you do care, and you can't enforce, you shouldn't have made the loan. That doesn't exculpate the jerk who doesn't pay you back, but it doesn't mean you weren't stupid also.

He offered the same service to me early feb 'cause he knew i might need it. When i asked him 1k late march, he said he couldnt in the same breath that said he had just cleared his credit card. I went through all sorts of emotions, the strongest being treason.

We talked about it and all, but it left a mark on me. Not sure i will lend him $ some other time.

And next time ... you will be more careful.

I had to read this post a few times over

after 4 thorough re-readings, I concluded that you are delusional and borderline ******ed

if you are from the Eurozone and have inadequate English skills, then I apologize in advance

If English is your native language, I feel sorry for you, and wish your buddy had rolled you for a lot more

Why would DN try and prevent it? This is old school poker, OP just doesn't 'get it'.

As to Brad Booth trying to blackmail Phil Hellmuth, I think BB said he is 'making a documentary' and all that stuff will come out in it...

Played with BB a few years ago and he was very engaging and slick. It is EASY to see how someone who hasn't been around live poker long enough to know that everything too good to be true (no vig from a street smart guy like BB) is just that, and that the live player pool (especially vegas) is just filled with broke degens/hustlers that will come at you from all angles if you look at all green- could fall for the transfer tarp...

So maybe quit hating on op (he is genuinely very chill irl fwtw), who it seems just learned an expensive lesson (lol @ the super ballers calling 28k "nothing"), and keep the focus where it should be-->

I wonder how things are going at the WSOP. Over the last year I've found out how some of these so called "faces of the poker community" are truly pieces of ****.

Are they showing their faces at the WSOP? Annie Duke? Chris Furgeson? Howard Lederer? Brad Booth?

Any loans / transfer / whatever kind of money moving should be done in $100 increments to annoy a potential scammer and give scamee time to cut ties before it's too late.
