The rest of the famous players people are listing who weren't involved in any type of scamming people are mentioning because of their attitudes or because they presented themselves in an embarrassing way publicly, either in televised poker appearances or on other stuff that was put online and got a lot of attention on here.

For example, jrb coming across poorly on "survivor" and getting arrested in his bentley outside bellagio and having rep as always being busto, and david williams for being arrogant and the diamond studded toothpick and his foot fetish pr0n that people found out about

Aaron Katz and Daniel Cates. In that order. Hands down. Opine was in the running...

This is a thread about "shame" (embarrassment or disgrace), not necessarily about being scummy.

That said, I like JRB too, and wouldn't have thought of his name in reference to a "poker hall of shame"

Cates won the most of any online poker player in the world last year. He has never scammed, shot angles, etc. He played a challenge with $1.5m on the line against a highly respected player and crushed him. He has an attractive girlfriend who he's traveling around the world with.

He's had some temper issues and the stuff w/ girah that doesn't reflect well on him, but think the millions of $ he wins and how good he is at poker disqualify him from being mentioned in this thread

So they were arrested but never convicted? That doesn't mean that they did it...

Plus the morons in the paratouche cheating scandal, where they were doing super obv hand signals. Names anyone?

iirc, they both pleaded out and got suspended sentence or something. And I don't think there was any disputing they did it, I think the only doubt was whether they knew the girls weren't of age or not (they were in their teens, not children).

The guy has dozens of incidents of insulting and humiliating people for years on-line and live, and the girah stuff you call it, was nothing less then intentional fraud and theft, because he did not know what to say anymore in the end while the whole thing unruffled and he had said so much already, we don't have to guess what his real involvement was, a whole lot worse then we already knew/know.
And now he starts trowing chips at a other player that simply had better cards then him, that is saying to me that the guy is getting worse and is adding mildly violent outbursts to his already extensive vocal violent outbursts against other players.

No this man needs to be treated for his mental problems, like look at the video's of him playing and being interviewed thru the years, nothing he does is really his fold seems to be the red tread, and then you can see that this guy is really sick in his head, he looks to have a clear lack of empathy and understanding of other people, and has clearly has big problems of controlling his temper/emotions, and looks like a madman?/psychopath? when he looses his temper/emotions, what is next with this guy?, and like i said before it looks like he is wilfully not seeking help for his obvious mental problems, and he is evolving increasingly negative , so like i said what is next?,is he going to hit somebody next?.

I just stated they often come across as arrogant and condescending to me. Then again it doesnt matter since the question was "who would be your pick", which means its a subjective matter and I don't facts.

I think the majority share the same feelings as me towards the most I've mentioned tho, particularly Williams and Sheikhan.
