SOMERS, Connecticut - A Somers, Conn. man was arrested this week following an investigation into an alleged inappropriate relationship he had with a 13-year-old girl in August.
According to CtPost.com, 23-year-old Johnathan Drane AKA IAMHIV responded to a Craigslist ad posted by the Waterbury child where she listed her age as 19 and said she was looking for friendship.
The two apparently met in a mall in Waterbury but several dates later, then ended up having sex in Drane's car inside Twin Brooks Park in Trumbull, according to police.
Trumbull police say they were notified by Waterbury police on Aug. 19 after the girl's parents reported the situation.
The investigation led to Drane being charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
Police in Somers and other municipalities in Connecticut are reportedly investigating additional alleged inappropriate encounters and more charges may be forthcoming.
Drane turned himself in Monday after learning that a warrant had been issued for his arrest. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 17
