Wow, that's a matter of different definitions. I go with the more common defi ition of winning player - somebody who plays with a positive ROI and will win in the long run. Winning players have had points in their life where they've lost more then they've won. Say a mid stakes grinder binks a tourney, then goes broke playing high stakes. Maybe try were losers in high stakes, or maybe they were still small winners but we're severely under rolled for the big games they moved up too. Either way, they're still 'winning players' in the mid stakes games they grinded for years, which means are winners in over 90% of poker games. Instead of 'they, maybe I should just say 'joe cada...' but this hypothetical can happen to anyone.
