something about Chino rubs me the wrong way. He seems like a nice guy, but it seems like an act, and that it would get pretty old if the cameras were on the table you were at with him. Like the time him and Cunningham were heads up and he tells AC, "you're a good player, man.....really....." Like AC needs the compliment.

That would be nice; beats the heck out of isildur, rush poker, isildur, cardrunners, PAD dream lineup, isildur.

Like 15K for first. That's all I remember. I don't start looking at that stuff until I get close to cashing.

I'm glad so many guys (or maybe you're all girls) had fun on this thread. I got a chuckle myself at some of your responses. We need a little more humor in this world, even if it's at my expense.

He was ultra aggressive and played a lot of hands. He piled up the chips and then lost them all back. He's an excellent player for sure, and fun to play with. He doesn't act like a big shot or try to lord over people or belittle them. He is still a poker player to the core, talking about hands and making reads (and good ones too). I beat him one hand and he told me exactly what I had. I hate that!

I know this is a small event for him and he was playing a make or break style. A couple of breaks and he's in the money. Alas, not to be and he busted out. So did I with 34 players left. I went deep but not deep enough. Same as in the HORSE tourney last Saturday. Twenty two tables and they only paid the final two. I got down to six tables. It definitely is not easy to make the money in a poker tournament.

I've played very few live tournaments the last two years, maybe 10-12 total. This year I want to try to play more, like 20-25 events. It's not easy anymore. I'm totally drained the next day after playing a tourney for several hours. I can't play them back to back.

Oh one more thing, Jerry Buss was sitting at the next table. Someone at our table remarked why is he playing in such a small event, because the money means so little to him. I told him that Jerry loves to play and is very competitive. He can't play sports anymore at his age but he can play poker. He loves to do well and see his name in print for poker, and not Lakers related stuff.

Al Barbieri was at our table too. He is killing at the Commerce so far, with two firsts and a second! Very funny guy but he rubbed his neighbor the wrong way and they got in a beef. Matt came over and Al mouthed off and he got a two round penalty. That just about killed his chances and be busted out shortly after he got back in the game.

I saw David Hasselhoff at the airport. He was sitting in the bar drinking beer. I think he waved at me.

Maybe every month someone in NVG should just start a monthly "guess who I saw" thread..

How'd you like the less than 60-player field in the Friday night $500 tourney where you are, in Tunica? Great call going there instead of Commerce (for me, too).

Quick answer - I've never claimed to be a professional poker player. It's kind of my hobby. I also like a friendly game of pool once in a while too.
