I just wanted to point out what an amazing Job Pius is doing promoting the game. I have never seen a champ that has done this much in that regard.

Here are just a few things I noticed:

- he is active on twitter/facebook all the time
- he has been on at least 4 big time TV shows about him and his victory (Raab 2, Stern TV 2)
- there are still contiguously articles appearing on his story
- he has a whole series of articles that explain poker to beginners on the biggest German newspaper (bild)
- he has received tons of coverage in all kinds of newspapers in Germany

He is doing quite a lot to start a true poker boom in Germany, which probably the biggest market after the US in the world.

So what he is doing truly helps us all and I wanted to show my appreciation!

Well, it only makes sense. The better the player that has won the main event recently, the better promoter they have been. Pius is great, and Duhamel has been great.

Germany Austria Switzerland = 120 million people

Would be the biggest/most important poker boom since the U.S. and Moneymaker.

Bull. Germany is part of the EU. What's legal in (i.e.) the UK, will never ever ever ever be illegal in any other EU country, including Germany.

??

Na,

nothing is banned in Germany. The law the 15 laender came up with first has to make it thru EU, which it won't.

And one state has fully legalized online poker, so online poker is gonna be fully legal in like 2 months in Germany. Stars and others have already applied for licenses and stars has also invested into a soccer club and said they were gonna have a local office.

My understanding is that thru schleswigholstein every German can play legally, but i might be wrong of course.

this is not true unfortunately.

There are many things legal in one illegal in another. But online its complicated I think. But IT and FRA and Spain all managed to separate them self from the rest of the EU when it comes to online poker.

Whatever the German politicians vote on or approve among themselves doesn't mean jack ****, in this specific area. All has to get approved by the EU, and as long as poker is legal in (i.e.) the UK and all other EU countries, they will never be able to make it illegal in Germany and/or lobby successfully to get it approved by the rest of the EU.

Awesome! Please tell me where I can find a coffee shop in Barcelona that sells mint chocolate chip flavored brownies with northern lights weed, preferably one a short walk away from a red light district with a lot of busty eastern european girls in the windows. Thanks!

the newspaper "bild" is actually very big in germany.

but it is for dumb people only. it only has blockbuster-news and stupid news, easy written so dumb people can talk about dumb stuff.

promoting poker in this newspaper is actually the best thing he could have done. every other newspaper would attrect more intelligent people, but we want more fish and thats why BILD is the way to go. gj pius

Glad to see he's getting mainstream coverage too in Germany. I met him briefly in the Stars party at EPT Prague and he seemed like an extremely nice and level headed kid. I don't think we could have hoped for a much better ambassador.
