This is a good first step. Now if only they could include a webcam system where players get to see their opponents and a voting system so that a voting majority could remove the poker grinder types from the table.

Arty Smokes killin it, good points. I'm glad people are seeing the positive side to this change.

Bodog/Bovada has also had a 4 table limit for a long time, as well as no vip system geared towards grinders, and anon tables (not necessarily a fan of the last one). All are measures aimed at protecting the recs yet they lead to better or at least more sustainable games for us.

I don't like this change. I play between 2 and 4 tables of 10NL on party. I haven't been playing 10NL very long, so I am probably an average reg right now. Now that the casual tables have been introduced, I feel I can't turn a very large profit at the reg tables. Therefore I'm either stuck playing 2NL style poker at 1 10NL casual table or playing the reg tables for marginal earnings.

I am considering:
1) Moving to 4NL until I have $500 and then skipping to 25NL. Reason being: I feel my 4NL winrate is more than 2.5X my 10NL win rate at the reg tables.
2) Switching my bankroll to Stars to 4-table 5/10.

Suggestions:
1) Allow players to play 2 casual tables.
2) Players are currently allowed to mass table tournaments and play 1 casual table. Why not allow players to play 1 casual table at 10NL, but also play some tables at 4NL?

This is a great move and the direction they should have gone in instead of player segregation. Some tables should be flagged one table only, a some with the multi-table flag so everyone can choose what they want to play. There is a large demographic of players out there (myself included) who are interested in playing actual, live poker vs people (albeit online) that make actions quickly and are actually present at the table. It's terrible for online poker when the only tables someone can sit down at are filled with players who fold 90% of the time and time out each time. People that argue that all players should have no choice but to be subjected to these endless time outs by mass multi-tablers need to open their eyes. Boo-hoo if you have to actually sit and play good poker to win money instead of folding 5,000 hands an hour and chasing SNE.

Ongame play money games many years ago had a voting system where is like 3 players voted you out, you got kicked out. I tried it acouple of times and got kicked out every time pretty fast, as i did sometimes at yahoo poker as the oldest player on table could kick anyone out.

Lots of online poker has went to the direction of being more fish frendly, and i have pretty much limited my play at stars, and hope it wont get worse especially as they are being sold soon.

One table seems right as i play two, though i might now take a look at party again but it drops my stars vip level.

Maybe ones vip level should be visible to all, but its not going to be good for the games.

For those wondering what limits its available, it's : from NL2 up to NL100. Few days ago it was only NL10 I think...

Anyway, I was thinking something... What it one would register on several PartyPoker Network sites (WPT Poker, Bwin, GamebookersPoker, etc.) and play 1 table per site?

I understand that it would be considered colluding if one person is playing same table with multiple accounts, but what if that person tries not to play on the same table as other accounts, or maybe playing different limits with each account?

It is kind of a stretch... But if one could pull it of, he would multitable probably the juiciest games online.

The clients won't let you log on at the same time (eg: if you are logged on in PP client and attempt to log on from WPT client, you'll get a popup informing you of this, etc).

Great move, unlike their segregated pools. Very good for the game. As someone who enjoys playing poker, nothing drives me away from a game faster then a table full of nits who time out on every decision and are completely silent as they race to fold the other 23 tables they are playing on. Those who want to play poker with other actual live human beings who are paying attention to the game will now have the choice. Those who want to spend all day timing out and and folding in an attempt to accrue rakeback should also have that choice, but not at the expense of people who want to play actual poker.

I prefer this to the segregated tables idea too, and although a little irritating these rules devised to increase rec players have a massive benefit on the sites overall.

I recently left Stars and have been resurrecting old accounts at places like Party and 888 and I feel it's like playing back in the 90's, the games are so much easier. I'm actually finding I'm enjoying playing rather than just grinding it out. Open / resurrect a few accounts at the smaller sites, give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised how easy the games are and how much more fun it is not sat at a table with other guys just like yourself.

Even if it comes to a stage where you can only have one table open at each room, it's still better for the wallet and soul than playing the dry, clinical nitty poker at stars atm.
