PA steaming about Wynn Golf Club. PA steaming about Wynn Golf Club.

Wow - mountain out of a molehill... If I'm behind a slow group, I'm either playing through (and playing the missed holes afterwards, plus a couple extra for my troubles) or, if they're unwilling to let us, I'm putting a ball between the golfer and his cart if they continue to play slow.

If the groups behind the mob were complaining, then the warden should be doing something about it - I'm guessing here he might have let his marshal hat go to his head.

As for St Andrews...because The Old Course is a public space. It is the hallowed ground for golf. All the money in the world doesn't make a difference there. They will not let you play on Sunday.
cres, don't you see? this is not about golf, it's about gambling

i think there is at least a 37 percent chance that PA apologizes for this video. steve wynn is going to send someone to break his legs

I remember where Bill Gates was kicked out of the high roller suite at the Hardrock because a client that could potentially lose millions at the casino wanted to use it. Unless Patrik is betting heavy like Phil Ivey at craps or something similar I would imagine he is not too important to the casino.
Poker is always considered the LEAST profitable game for casinos. this is why for many years poke rooms were being removed to free up floor space for slots. poker player expectng king saud treatment at a golf course because they bet money on strokes is childish. lol

Which media player do you need to watch Raw Vegas vids?
I can't get them to play.

The main reason casinos have poker rooms is to attract more people to their table games - not to make the small rake.

Lets forget the drivel about who's right or wrong and discuss the real issue here.....

What golfer in the history of golf has quit DURING the best round of their life? Let alone because the assistant pro didn't like their grouping?? LOLOLOL I'll tell you how many NONE. Any golfer worth anything would have to be taken off the course at gunpoint during a career round. Poor sap.

Patrik and a few of the other people golfing that day give plenty of action in the pits. Patrik has had million dollar losing sessions at the craps table and the Wynn will not be getting any of that action.

lol, I'd bet (albeit small) that he doesn't even really have friends that work there. He also seems surprisingly calm even when he's steaming really hard.

And if there really was nobody else on the golf course when they were playing, and none of the "official" Wynn caddies had complained, Greg was way out of line and should have just let them be IMO.

I have also been treated extremely well at the Wynn and stay there exclusively and play there exclusively and recommend that everyone stay there. However, this imbecile Greg needs to be immediately fired for tarnishing the Wynn's good name and costing the Wynn alot of money.

fyi, i'm 90% sure the guy who listened to me tell him his golf course was a dog track last summer was greg. in sum, i paid for a round of golf b/c i didnt want to **** with the comp system. it's $500 plus a reasonable tip for the caddy, which, you have to have. after 9 holes i told the caddy to take us in b/c i'd landed in the fairway twice on ground that reminded me of the local muni in dallas in mid july- the course was in terribad shape, had lots of areas roped off, and when i had to chip up on number 9 from ground that is best described as 'red rock canyon-ish during a drought' (instead of being on the second cut of rough, i had to essentially chip off of cement) and wound up sailing it over, i'd had enough. like i said, pretty sure it was greg who came up to me and was like 'you're right. this is a $500 round when the course is perfect. today it's far from perfect' and took care of it.

that being said, if you guys havent played a lot of golf, imagine the most frustrating moment of your poker career and multiply it by some sort of exponent. **** breaking your mouse or punching the screen, i've seen easy-come-easy-go people in all other areas of life destroy $400 drivers, throw clubs at houses, throw entire golf bags into lakes, and so on. also, if pat was winning, it wouldnt have been unusual for someone to try and disrupt his game, if you know what i mean.

seems like a kind of 'would have had to be there' to understand type situation, but still, i doubt someone asked greg to mess with the round, but having dealt with him i cant seem to figure out why he would act in this manner. imo if this round was comp'd it was a huge mistake if it played out just like PA said, and if these guys paid the $2500 plus about $1000 for the caddys plus a few hundred for their coaches, and they were let on the course to begin with, you cant tell people **** after that, position be damned, unless your name is SW.

Clearly antonius needs a few double quaps and a large fry to calm him down
07-14-2008 , 01:14 AM
I can understand that he would be upset that someone came out and said something after they've already played 5 holes and paid for the coach to ride in the carts etc. If the head pro agrees to let this entourage out- fine- not like they're holding anyone up for the ridiculous amount of $$ a green fee is there and how crappy that course is. I'm sure they were the only ones out there.

But seriously- how can you let it piss you off even a day later? To be pissed sitting in the main event? Bah- no good.

I would go straight over greg's head and get my satisfaction that day, and move on.

Sounds like a bullcrap excuse for losing a few holes. Patrick- we'll play golf anyday because I could tilt you out of your spikes by the 2nd tee.

I wouldn't be playing golf at Wynn..... go to some place better.

The Mcdonalds backtrack was hilarious.
Was he looking for a McDonalds sponsorship or something?
07-14-2008 , 03:08 AM

Corsa Cucina has the best italian in Vegas (coming from a guy who grew up in Italian restaurants)
OK, now I know you're a shill. I usually stay at the Wynn when I'm in Vegas, and I'd have a lot of good things to say, but Corsa Cucina is ****ing awful. Likewise for Wing Lei and Bartollota or whatever the other Italian place is. Actually, the resort rooms are pretty cramped too.

The Tower Suites are very nice though, the blackjack's got good rules, Okada's delicious, and they have one of the best poker rooms in Vegas. Somehow I've never eaten at Alex, but I've heard nothing but good things about it.
