He was talking to the viewer about showing hands in general; that's his job when he's commentating, to give insight into poker in general as well as the specific ongoing match

No, he was using a rationalization to again smear Andy for showing his hand, he could have just as easily said it was a good idea to show Ivey the A5 hand to send a message that he won't be pushed around and/or to set him up later in a meta game scenario or just to get Ivey on tilt a little by showing him no respect. Instead, he goes on a rant about how Andy should never show is hand because Ivey will have info an him if they play again. The announcers are blatantly slanted to Ivey.

he didn't say "if they play again" or "later in life" he was talking about giving an idea of how strong or weak he is today based on his inconsistent physical cues
