Giannetti is winning this. He has a great seat at the final table. The kid went from last in chips (with 10 left) to 3rd in chips (with 9 left). He is clearly playing to win.

Biased - Holden for the win! Guy is great, friendly, polite but knows his game so well. Also happy to buy a round, Canterbury PRIDE!

Anton Makievskyi is playing poorly and does not deserve to be in this. He build his stack by calling a 3 bet oop w/KJo and hit a boat on a kjj board against AJ for 10,000,000. Then he called an all in for 5,000,000 with ATo against KK. He spiked an A. Im not sure how he made it this far. I cant se him winning. He looks like the fish at the table to me.

I know tickets to watch our free and you have to line up, but once you get a seat can you leave and come back? If you want to just watch the heads up, what time will you probably have to get there (meaning also what time will heads up probably start) and how easy is it going to be to get a seat then?
Isn't heads up usually played the day after the November 9 begin play?

Not sure what time it would begin tho

Non of the players want to play him in a hand. I liked how Phi Hellmuth said, no experienced live pro would have called his KK shove.

the ATo wad a huge suckout but against a guy who sucked out on him before so he might have been feeling tilted about the guy (sure not a proof of top notch poker). Not sure KJo is that huge of a mistake, and he's capable of some very nice plays from what I've seen (and all I missed was the last 5 hours of day 8 and 6)

I see 6 flawless players 2 cheong-likes (ie very creative but possibly maniacs : heinz and makiievsky) and 1 locktag whose only mistake in the whole tourny was trying a herocall with 72o and that wasn't even expensive
the others would have switched the last 3 for some candios anytime

Is this a level? You really think an average joe flipping through the channels at random is going to stop at the WSOP final table, watch for a second and then think "Oh, I'd watch if there were some pros playing, but these guys? Whatever...." and moves on?

I'd be willing to bet the casual viewer can't even name more than five pros (and probably even fewer). If you were hoping for a star studded final table, you were destined to be disappointed before the event even started.

Even as a german i'm rooting for Lamb, might be the greatest WSOP performance ever.

I stayed up watching the final 10 last night for 2 or 3 hours on ESPN2 but finally had to get to bed. It looks like they finally eliminated the 10th 30 minutes after I left. Does anyone know if there is a video link with the eliminating hand anywhere? I tried youtube but didn't really see anything. Thanks.

If he ships the whole thing I'll re-evaluate but how is this the greatest WSOP performance ever?

Lamb 2011: Wins $10k PLO, makes November 9.

Mizrachi 2010: Wins $50k Players Championship, Makes November 9.

Even if you then include Lambs other heads up this year then maybe it is close but I'm not even sure the Grinders from last year is the greatest ever.

This can be said of every player in the November Nine.
To say that Lamb just got lucky is ridiculous, he got 4M in VALUE on that hand from overbetting the river and got his opponent to tank for 10 min and call with a worse hand even though it only became worse on the river... he gets value when he has hands, which is a skill and obviously he's running amazing... deserves to be there.

I wanted a female or a bigger name pro than Ben at the table but the play is going to be pretty epic and there are actually some decent storys behind these guys.

Ben with his amazing series. Phildo repping us Black Friday guys. O'Dea and his dad. The Old guy from Belize that the over 30 year crowd can relate to.

All the players left have handled themselves with class and I think they will represent the game well.

should be fun to see how espn builds these guys up when they start showing the edited ME footage

I am comparing it Mizrachi's 2010 but just saying that, as yet, I don't see (IN MY OPINION) that it is as impressive at this point.

He's not matched Grinders ME finish yet, he won a lesser event to Mizrachi's and I did say that if you include his heads-up I think it becomes close.

Just saying that in the big 2 comparisons (the ME and the bracelets) Lamb's feat doesn't even touch Mizrachi's (yet).

I'd argue the fields were all tougher for Lamb than Mizrachi, and he made it deeper in more of them then just 2... I mean look at who he beat in his events.

So Lamb's 2011 $10k PLO had a tougher field than last years $50k Players Championship?

And Lamb's 2011 ME (he's currently not yet matched Mizrachi's finish btw and may not) had an increased difficulty because it was 500 players less?

Maybe I've misunderstood you.

Grinder's 2010 WSOP (according to Hendon Mob Website)

$50k Players Championship - 1st
$10k 7 Card Stud Championship - 6th
$10k Limit Hold'em Championship - 8th
$2.5k World Championship Mixed Events 8 Game - 26th
$10k Main Event - 5th

I'm saying Grinder's 2010 was better (at the mo') but, like I said, if Lamb ships this years ME I'll re-evaluate.

i dont get how you can compare the 2 years and say mizrachi had a better one...lamb made the same ft mizrachi won..albeit an 8th place finish..and made the same other ft as mizrachi (main event)..in addition lamb has a bracelet in a 10k event..a 2nd place finish in a 3k event.. and a 12th place finish in another 10k event....

Ok ..fair enough..FWIW i think its hard to compare the 2 years at all..i think they're almost if not equal in terms of accomplishments
