They didn’t shut either down, at least not permanently. They blocked access to the US. FTP stayed around briefly until it was clear they couldn’t process payouts and the Ponzi scheme collapsed. Notice how stars still operates to this day? That’s because it was a well run company

Unfortunately, you missed the point of my post.

The premise that we would have nationwide online poker in US had Full Tilt been as well run as Stars is palpably false. The government blocked access to both in US and Stars has received no preferential treatment afterwards.

In my original post I indicated Stars was properly run.

I trust this assists?

Scotch can handle his own but I’ve noticed rules only go one way. He called me a dunce (which is still there) and I corrected him and dropped in dummy.

Oh WTF, I had no idea. He was one of a small handful of poker players from my hometown, along with nanonoko (who went to college there) and a guy named Greg Byard (grew up there).

I never knew Mike but I met his son sort of randomly a while back. He was writing for some baseball website or something, and as I recall, he saw me following the WSOP action while we were both working a game. It's a relatively simple concept. You report a post, someone is going to look at it. I don't see any reports from you.

Carlos Mortensen ? He has huge scores from early in the poker boom and then some small cashes and nothing after 2017. Is that usually a sign of busto? Anyone know what happened to the matador?

Whatever happened to "Teecoy"?
Anyone remember him from back in the day on Pokerstars? Circa 2004.
From what I remember dude would final table mtts like every other day and actually win them like once a week. And were not talking small field mtts like players do today, were talkin like 3k player pool mtts.
Back then Stars had this mtt leaderboard and hed consistently lead it.
He absolutely crushed it, then just one era (circa 2010) he was gone and never mentioned again. out of all the sn players names revealed ive never seen his name mentioned.
