Fwiw, I quite liked Hashtag King, yes he was brash and arrogant, but it was an act.
When things started to unravel, I also tried to help with him some advice on Twitter.

Whereas, YoH Viral (sorry I missed the H in YoH originally), I have seen act quite childishly (when running bad, missing draws, making wrong decisions)
in some high stakes cash game streams recently.

Hashtag King I seem to remember was ultimately rescued from his downward spiral and from the bad guys in the Toronto underground poker scene,
by his family who are Orthodox Jewish and by some Jewish elders, by staying in a Jewish retreat or Jewish centre for religious study and learning, or something like that.

His poker story and gambling journey was a rollercoaster and at times fun ride for him, while it lasted, but obviously turned bad and ugly in the end.

I have no idea of Gus Hansen's vaccination status, nor do I have the slightest interest in debating the whys and wherefores, rights and wrongs, positives and negatives regarding said vaccines, but it should be taken into consideration when discussing someone's absence from live poker in the USA that according to this article https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...ted%20vaccines. you have to be fully up to date with Covid vaccines to travel into the USA if you are a non-USA citizen.

The requirement to be fully vaccinated to enter the USA I believe came into force in on November 8th 2021.

The White House announced that vaccines will be required for international travelers coming into the United States, with an effective date of November 8, 2021. For purposes of entry into the United States, vaccines accepted will include FDA approved or authorized and WHO Emergency Use Listing vaccines.

Denmark were one of the softer line countries during the Covid/lockdowns/pandemic etc period(s), Sweden were even softer line than Denmark. He is half Danish, half Swedish I believe.

So if we are assigning a range to why he has disappeared, at least from live USA poker, him not being (Covid) fully vaccinated, or not even initial Covid shot vacinnated at all, would be a big part of the range of possible reasons for his absence.

As an interesting side note, something that has struck me over the last year is that anyone playing in the US who travelled there from overseas has without saying so, declared that they are fully vaccinated, save a small number having an allowable exclusion or using forged vaccination status documents.

Conversely, non US citizen players who have been year after year regulars at the WSOP but have not attended recently have without saying so, pretty much told us that they are not Covid vaccinated.

Again, I do not want to get into a debate about the vaccination itself, but as I said we kind of know who is and isn't vaccinated, which you might find interesting, whichever side of the Covid vaccine fence you are on.
