for mr. galfond:

how are you presently leveraging your high-profile status to ensure that the federal government passes a comprehensive law regulating and taxing online poker?

If he wishes years ago he had put all the time and effort into something different.
05-15-2012 , 05:04 PM
Does he get more satisfaction from winning a huge pot or from pulling an intricate bluff vs a good player

Biggest mistake PLO players make these days in general?

Best tip he can give a PLO player that grinds these days?

Along the same lines: What are you and other high stakes pros doing to help bring online poker back to the US?

Funniest story related to your slide? Did anyone ever get stuck in your slide? Anyone famous go down the slide? Weirdest reaction upon seeing it?

After Mercier said on twitter the other day you should play more MTTs are you going to take his advice? Why are you so focused on cash games over tourneys, both live and online? Would you ever travel Europe to play EPTs and other events?

If you were ever offered a job on Wall Street, or any high ranking financial institution with a salary, would you take it over poker? And would you stick to poker and the ride the variance instead of taking say a wage which is 90% of your average yearly winnings?

How do you go about evaluating and improving your game. In other words, what methodology do you suggest for improving your game in all facets, technically, mentally ..etc. What are the best attributes that make a successful poker player (what are the characteristics you would say top players have in common). Talk about your mindset.

Will the games be better or worse in 10 years?

The more strategy questions, the better. What role do simulations play in his off the table evaluations? What specifically should a player be doing every day to get better? How to transition to heads up? Live leaks he has plugged. Biggest ahaa leak plug moment? Does he want an assistant? What strategies does he employ when interacting with people who know nothing about poker? If he had 50million, how would he spend his time?

This. A prediction of the next decade of online poker would be neat.

After playing in some of the biggest games that most of us can only dream of, What other goals or dreams in poker do you wish to accomplish?
05-15-2012 , 06:15 PM
Do you have any plans to get back into making instructional poker videos?
Have you had any offers from training sites since you parted ways with BFP?

I never get paid off with a made hand in PLO

What can I do to get paid?

What do you think is in store for the future of poker in 5-10 years?

Do you think any new game formats will be invented and become popular?

Do you believe the majority of professional players bread and butter will still come from one of the three disciplines of NL cash, Plo cash, or NL mtts?

I play hyper turbo 6m SNGs which for me means a lot of volume and with that, swings.
Recently ive stopped looking at my results more than 2 times a month, and only then, i.e every 2 weeks in a given month, seeing as the money fluctuations from day to day or hour to hour are basically entirely a result of variance.

The reason for this being the general consensus that losing $1 affects your brain more negatively than winning $1 affects you positively.
I wonder how Phil has dealt with this fact, if you can call it that, during his career.

Also, it would be really interesting to hear some of Phils take on the public availability on hand historys in light of the recent stuff with Pokerstars & PTR
