just because someone decided not to set their forum pages to 100 ****ing posts per page doesn't mean they "are not doing it right". one of the few reasons might be that they have a slow connection and don't want to wait ages when they are loading a page full of ****ing gifs.

FT just sent out an email to US players mostly reminding us of what we already knew. It does say that our points balances will be preserved on FT, though. Two questions:
1. Are there any plans to allow us to redeem our points for merchandise or for anything else?
2. What about our iron man medals, tournament tickets, cash game tickets, etc..? Will they be converted into equivalent points values? Will they be preserved separately?

Edit: I see that you previously said medals were converted to cash. I only had points and medals, but I'm sure people who had a lot of value in tournament tickets and other instruments would like to know what's going to happen with them.

The day before black Friday I requested a withdraw. Im a US player. Has this been credited back to my account or will it be a hassle for me to track down and account for?

will FTP get the same rake structure like stars? it won`t make sense to play at tilt (for cash game) if you use the old rake structure which will take more rake out of my pocket...

What's the process for relocated USA players going to be? Is it going to be a priority for the first couple weeks so everybody who has already moved can get back on ASAP?

And what will the process be for pairing Stars and FTP accounts?

I'm a usa player. Sent a message to FTP support but did not get a response.

I no longer have my original email address since I changed service providers. What's the process in updating my email address?

it has been a long time but i think FTP had lower rake structure in heads up play....

Here is the answer I got when I asked them the same question.

First of all, additional security measures will be put in place to authenticate and validate all accounts.

We are unfortunately unable to provide much more detail at this stage and look forward to providing further details once we have had the chance to prepare more for our re-launch."

I also asked when Shyam was going to update this post but received no response to that question. Doesn't help much does it?

I beleive you have to wait untill the relaunch untill things settle down.

It would have to be one seriously slow connection to struggle with text or a few kilobytes of .gif files.... and if it struggled with those, it certainly wouldn't be fast enough to maintain connection to a poker client for example.

thanks for that, mine was in my gmail spam as well

so i just got the email from FT about being a US player, DOJ, remission etc. i used to be a US player years ago, but relocated years before black friday and failed to change the address on my FT account cause I wasn't playing on FT and got out of poker for awhile. i have since gained citizenship in another country outside of the US and am living here permanently, am i still going to have to go through the DOJ to get access to my balance or can i just verify my relocation like on stars and gain access to play or withdraw my balance?
