Is jungle ever calling a raise on the river?
Is durrrr ever raising the river?
Too thin of value raise but could make it look like dry ace?

whos schoitl?

also wish we could see forhayley's stars results he does so much grinding there it would be a good gauge as to how he is in terms of top 6 max players out there. +2.5m on full tilt in just the malaceia games is very impressive considering the usual lineups

Does anyone ever lay down any type of hand in high stakes HU these days? It seems the optimal strategy is just call down any bets with 1 pair+ no matter what.

Since those hands are mucked and we can't see mucked hands, this is a very simple way of looking at it.

at what point does some1 tell Isildur this isnt play money and he is a problem gambler, not a poker player?

also, does he have a $20 million line of credit somewhere? he has to be a MASSIVE net loser by now.

OTOH, untracked Euro sites.....

Sometimes he wins big, but at the moment he's indeed a loser. He's down 3 million on PS and FTP. He can only afford to lose this much because he has backers, or as many people guessed he gets over 100k a month salary.
I think he's one of the best players in the world, but with this type of downswings, and without sponsors, he would be long gone.

Not even sure we even disagree but hes up this year in O8, PLO, and Triple Draw with 40k+ samples in each versus the toughest opponents in the world.

He obv got crushed in NL last month.

He also shipped a $1 million tourney win this year.

Even if he could break even over these samples against these opponents show how talented he is. Also, you have to remember how young he is so if he keeps improving there is a lot of money for him to win in the future.

But yeah, everyone knows he has a lot of degen in him

a) He can afford to lose as much as he has in cash games on FTP and PS because between tournaments (3 SCOOP wins, one for over a million, plus PCA SHR title for ~1.25 million) and cash games on European networks he has won a lot more than 3 million.

b) There has never been anything close to proof that he gets "100k a month salary", and the idea is absolutely absurd to me. How the hell is he worth $1.2 million a year to FTP?

I'd say this is debatable (not the euro networks stuff). I mean unless I'm mistaken there was a pretty clear pattern of him appearing around the same time every month on Stars and either going on sick runs or busting quick then disappearing for a while.

Add on top of that he's also said in chat he has to 'send some money to back' after wins. Then add rumoured OFC losses etc.

Obviously it's all speculation, we don't know his finances. I just don't think it's an absurd suggestion that he might have been relying on backers/salaries at one point, if that's true then maybe some of his huge upswings wouldn't have happened without the aid. Similarly, back in the day, maybe if he didn't run white hot when he was playing with 5 buyins to his name (and in debt) he might have been forced to get a job and we never would have heard about him

On another note, good to see Kanu and ike doing well again!

Not sure why so many people wish to debate Bloms finances, because nobody other than himself and his buddies know, but why do people constantly laugh about "untracked euro site winnings" this can be debated and the facts are there. back between 2008 and 2010 on Entraction and other European Networks. He had many screen names which were Blom90, No_09 TheItalienStyle Zebul_ON, Add0l0rata, ingsoni and more an was big winner on all account crushed regs. going on 1 million dollar weeks many times.

Also i have followed thread for long time would like to pay a huge thank you to all hand history posters and thread starters
