Uhhh?

Benyamine won $12.5 million in 320k hands... and didn't he mostly play in the 100/200 and 200/400 games rather than the 300/600+?

Like i say man Zig has one of the highest vpip's out of the regs that play that game. You arguring that is just like , WTF WHY?

Please somebody with some databases come in here and back me up.

One last thing, when the **** did Gavz become a nosebleed REG? And you have the nerve to call me arrogant, you just lol man.
He played similar yesterday, but it was only 3 handed.
64/54.6/35.5
His postflop stats:

I'm not sure he should be called thight postflop, but it's a very small sample, and since he's in god mode, he probably plays more bravely.

As for Ziig's preflop tendencies, both old but at least worth consideration:

In a 2006 DB posted in NVG thread "high stakes results pre-2007" Ziig's stats were 68/53

In a 2010 video for Cardunners Hastings referred to Ziigmund's opening range as "really light" in a 6max game

And ilari plays mainly deep games where u can play very loose preflop but still be a nit postflop.
This could be right, I don't know. I thought these days tight/loose were generally used to describe preflop tendencies and passive/aggressive were used more for postflop. Also I'd imagine it's much harder to be a winner in today's top games being loose preflop and 'tight' postflop, than tight preflop and aggressive postflop.

When railing I've noticed he gambles for big pots preflop more than most, but that's seemed to be more in how often he calls 4/5bets and not necessarily his VPIP. I can't see urubu's post, maybe he was describing a small hand sample where Ilari was playing low stakes.

I don't know, you guys could all be right. I'm not claiming to know how he plays. I'm just saying it's not exactly a slam dunk fact that he's a mega maniac preflop (especially given what I quoted), which makes it funny and arrogant when you respond to the notion with a OMG LOL WHAT WORLD DO YOU LIVE IN LOLOL post.

Do you remember that post Ike made where he mentioned several examples (without naming anyone) about players who used to win a lot but failed to adjust. He described a certain passive PLO player that would win alot because a lot of regs wouldnt adjust to him, but started losing once they played differently versus him, and he didn't adjust back. I'm fairly certain that describes Benyamine very well (doesnt he play like 42/15 in 6m PLO?).

Just because he used to win a lot doesnt mean he's +ev in todays line-ups. Also, mediocre players go on ridic heaters in PLO all the time.

Dude, what's your point? My post was a reply to a guy saying "His winrate was EXTREMELY low, barely above breakeven"

But yes I remember that post by ike, good call as I didn't pick up that he was referring to Benyamine.

As for his stats, yes you are correct. The aforementioned 2006 DB had him at 60/25 over 131k hands, although to be fair Ivey was 65/31 over 35k hands so quite similar.

Yeah well, he did crush the PLO games back in the day, but he did so playing a somewhat ridiculous style from what I remember (48/20 or something like that). Let´s also not forget that he managed to piss away every last dime of it (like -4 mill. HORSE, -4 mill. O8, 3-4 mill. LHE). He quit saying he was a 6 million loser on FTP. He also got that strange "rogue" loan of 5 million or something, so he basically owes Stars a TON of money. This may be a pretty strong incentive not to play on Stars, ever lol.

The game is over 6pm local english time, so I wouldn't rule out Isildur playing at all.

ilari is a fish on a heater... its obvious. reading this thread, i see him cold calling 3bet from 50bbs stack (sauce had only 50bbs), and ilari flat on bb w ATT2 ,one suit on T... this is terrible. even a fish folds this hand. he also 3bet some really trash hands, like 8854, J864... he squeezed w AK72, 3diamonds... all this plays im talking its from yesterday, reading this thread.

maybe he was drunk, maybe everytime he plays he is drunk, because everytime i see HHs from him im shocked like ''wtf this guy is doing... he doesn't have a clue.. just a donk clicking buttons - and always the raise btn''. actually im surprised this discussion is going on, its easy to realize ilari is an agroo fish.

that beind said, ilari is my 2nd poker hero, after the king isildur. im ilarinho BRA on brazilian forum , tribute to ilari hehe.

What? How was I angry? I was just pointing out that my post was a reply to someone else, but you seemed to think it was a reply to you.

Do you speak English? You're confusing.

With a sick man-crush on Ziggy.

Love-0 is "defending" Ziggy in 95% of all his posts.

Btw, didnt Odd break even for 1 million hands last 12 months?

Just one of many examples.

Wasnt Ziggy's winrate on PTR negative over 300k hands?

You laughed at that - saying PTR was missing a ton of hands.

Id say 300k hands of 560k is pretty significant for his overall winrate.
(Even less than 50k hands would be)

Id say its pretty insignificant when PTR had him down 3 million when in fact he was up a few million.

Ziigmund's winrate wasn't negative on PTR over 300k hands. Not really sure where you got that from. It was positive on stars (obviously will be a lot more positive now though!) and negative over 110k hands on FTP because they tracked all his downswing and none of his upswing but his overall winrate is definitely going to be very good. To be honest at this point there is no chance that ziigmund is a big loser in the games he's playing. He's at worst breakevenish and at best the best PLO player in the world but most likely to be somewhere between the two.
10-28-2012 , 12:32 PM
I obviously am an Ilari fan myself, however loveminuszero, you cant argue with urubu on this one, thats all im saying. His play is really REALLY bad/fishy. But aside, I want him to continue this run cause we'll get some sick action on FTP
10-28-2012 , 12:48 PM
Isildur1 is shortstacking 2tbls of plo20k
