FullTilt money is endless, so several of the candidates are immune to the Apocalypse. Isildur1 could, but he is awesome and I hope he gets lucky (since no matter how talented, he is basically constantly taking a shot underrolled and with the risk of ruin hanging over his head).
Besides, since there isn't so much discrepancy in skill at those levels, money gets cycled back and forth a lot. Some gets siphoned out by PA and Ivey, and then an infusion from a rich donator becomes a necessity to maintain the economy.
Yes, it would be nice to have Isildur1 win everything, both bc being able to witness such sheer epicness, would, much like alchemy, improve those watching the process along with it (in my understanding of empyrical alchemy, copper was transformed into gold via boiling for long amounts of time, and the philosopher who witnessed/stuck along for the transformation improved or transcended along with the metal), if not by skill through analysis of hands, than through inspiration of such heart/courage, and it would also keep the games going at insane stakes, because he will never quit.
A big part of the previous success of Durrrr, in terms of popularity, was that people could identify with him and dream that it could be them. Isildur1 has accomplished the same thing, in
considerably less time, and this kind of inspiration probably translated very positively for poker, into multiple small deposits from lots of people. People look up to Ivey, because he's been winning for a long time, but what Ivey does seems completely unattainable. A 19yo kid who comes out of nowhere and takes on the best and wins, that's everybody's (at least the demographic on here, and the new poker player demographic) hero. I think it would be most entertaining/beneficial for Isildur1 to win, a mini-Moneymaker effect for online poker. Good luck to him.
