u should give more info bout the hand, BBV also reraised the turn, Deno called with pair of 8's and a clubdraw. river bricked completely, BBV overbet and Deno called it.
11-16-2013 , 11:24 AM
Isildur down a quiet million in a week.

11-16-2013 , 11:24 AM
Sorry b1o, havent got time to post thorough updates was just alerting to the action

11-16-2013 , 11:27 AM

241k pot; deno vs. bbvisbadforme

54768 run-out

the game they were playing is NLHE

bbvisbadforme is from Germany
11-16-2013 , 11:29 AM
240k pot also goes BBV way.

54768 board.

Willy overshoves river(100k into 38k)with 56, BBV snaps with 97.
11-16-2013 , 11:33 AM
3 New tables. Both players starting with 200bb's. $120,000
11-16-2013 , 12:04 PM
bbv up a little so far. Pretty entertaining match.

11-16-2013 , 12:31 PM
BBV gg'd it. Happens pretty often that Willy's opponents are the session enders. Isn't he regarded as a 'fish' among the elite group of HUNL players?
Don't see why you wouldn't do everything to keep playing him as long as you can.

Not too long ago WCG quitted him as well. Curious as to why he would do that...
11-16-2013 , 12:32 PM
To book a win?
11-16-2013 , 12:43 PM
Sure, but that doesn't seem max EV. And in the current high stakes climate, one can't really log that many hands vs relatively bad players it would seem.
11-16-2013 , 12:46 PM
If you missed it, then BBV gave 2 warnings about him having to leave. 1 hour warning and 15 min warning... pretty sure he didn't quit, because he wanted to book a winning session against willy.

Re WCG criticizing Phil, if true it's not surprising by any means.

From all one can gather about WCG's style and reasons for success he's clearly all about executing sound, well thought out fundamental strategies and counter strategies with a higher degree of precision than his opponents.

Phil has never been about this, as he happily admits in most of his training videos. I recall him saying for instance that he's not anywhere near the top 20 PLO players in terms of fundamental knowledge, ie how often certain things happen, how many combos of what hits this and that board etc, because he feels he can enjoy better success reacting to game flow, psychology, intuition, yada yada.

Cleary someone like Doug will not see Phil as an inspirational figure if his views on how to approach poker differs so greatly. Scary thing is if his track record can be taken as any indication I don't see how his supposed "sick work ethic" will not take him to the top in PLO as well pretty soon. Just a shame so few games run that we won't get to see much in the way of fireworks along the way.

Willhasha obviously isn't Guy. Also he's not going anywhere.

So 1hr of "work" - $80k, sure...why not?

Money is money at the end of it all and if he wants to get a game again it won't take long.

I had my self-ban lifted because I missed you guys.

I probably still won't post anything for now though, I still have a lot of things to sort out.

Nosebleed players that look at hand histories here to get a read at their opponents should pay VT's debt.
