Norm is weaker than any prior host. The line up so far has been excellent, Business guys with more money than cents and it is always a great day when "V" is down 200K, then she can't 3 barrel Viffer on the river when it would have worked..She is so far over her head

I hate it that PokerStars bought the rights to the program, F'in up the whole line-up. No Ivey, PA and Durrrr becasue of that.

That's Mori & GSN & Co. laying a giant turd of an egg with this selection.

The guy has a drone of a voice, and how could a supposed comedian be so bereft of any decent one-liners? Worse, he barely seems to know what he's talking about. Scare card Ace hits on the turn and it checks around, and Norm: "...and a friendly round". His color commentary is just awful, he has no clue what the thought process is for any of the players.

Hey, Mori: What the hell is the point of bringing this stump in?

This is going to be pretty awesome. "Dirty Work" was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Comedy movies like that and many others like it made in the 90's will never be matched.

Based purely on EP3, actually Norm's getting better. A lot better. He's funnier, more relaxed, his jokes are flowing, he's a bit more on point and he's calling the hands better. I was so surprised, I had to say something because I've been vehemently opposed to what he did in EP1 and EP2.

Maybe I was wrong?

Let's see what happens next week. I'll be the first to admit if it turns out I was wrong and he just had newbie jitters.

had never heard of norm before but can't believe this guy is from a comedy background, have just got halfway through episode 2 and can't bring myself to finish, the low droll is killing me!!

that along with no more FTP players, what was once my fav programme is at least to me, now unwatchable...

looking forward to the return of the big game & PAD's omaha sessions.

His actual comedy bits are quite funny. He loses a lot in the translation to poker hosting and, I think, just trying to seem "professional" on the show. He's basicly good at talking ****/slanted commentary, which is like the opposite of the demeanor he tries to represent on HSP imo.

All other sporting type shows use two commentators. Why does PAD and now HSP think that one will cut it? There is just too much dead air. There needs to be a play by play and color commentator. That's what we expect and that's what works. Jesus christ on a stick why don't they get this?
