Not that stars had any kind of say or vote, but dont you think they spent some money to affect the process and maybe soften up NV. would be surprised if Stars doesnt soon announce some sort of path forward with company licensing in NV.
on the other hand, Ive been surprised before on all sorts of things. For example Hellmuth pawning Polk and jungle HU was surprising and more importantly quite hilarious to watch
either way... this is huge for US. Im guessing more states accelerate some form of online legislation. North Carolina will be last state to ever legalize though maybe right before Utah so fml.
PokerStars has been working on improving their position from every possible angle. One is that they are the publishers of
Poker News, which means that readers are no doubt getting a very biased view of the poker world. I read it, but I also read Poker News Daily--kind of like watching CNN and Fox News to see all sides of an issue.
In the Michigan legislative hearings on state-regulated poker (we are pretty close) the Stars Group gave a presentation on the capabilities of their security software. The word PokerStars wasn't mentioned but I think I can guess who the Stars Group is affiliated with.
