Nice. I wonder how long it will take to go into effect once they sign the agreement.

Will all 6 Delaware players be added the NJ player pool ?

Any details on how this will work in practice? Is it as simple as changing geolocation specs to let people in DE log into WSOP or Ultimate?

This is a very important first step. If these two show it can be done, it encourages other states to legalize online poker and to enter into multi-state compacts.

No one knows how this may play out. It's possible that large population states, like NJ, CA and NY, initially might not be interested in multi-state compacts but might join later; on the other hand, they might never join.

But for small population states, states like Delaware, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Nevada, it is an opportunity to form a multi-state group that would have an adequate player base as opposed to an insufficient base as individual states.

The issue that will push this forward is tax revenue. For states that already have legalized poker it is clean additional revenue that can be argued to be no expansion in gaming.

Nevada and Delaware need to do this right and make it work.

I agree, could be a game changer here in the states. I'm sure they can work it out like they have with Powerball.

Good analogy. Delaware has an 888 skin. As it stands, this could be meshed with WSOP in Nevada with little effort.

Ultimate and the new site introduced this past week would be out in the cold.

It has been rumored that 888 could open their own site in Nevada, also.

More sites don't help the player pool problem for these two states.

More states needed. Cali is the plum for either NJ or the NV/DE coalition, or California can go it alone.

I have read a few articles and don't see a possible time frame to go live with this. Anyone know?

This might push New Jersey into playing ball. That's where the PPA should put its focus. At worst, this should help the WSOP satellites.

Where there is a common platform, player pools can be combined, as with any other network we are already familiar with. geolocation need not change

888 is the only platform that will benefit from this agreement, as 888 is the only platform in DE.

DE players will still play on the DE site, likewise the NV players will keep playing on NV sites, basically as skins on common network. This is the only model I see working across state borders.

Approaching three years after Black Friday, and we're about 5% of the way to where the ROW was a decade ago. Maybe by 2020 we'll have 10 states in play?

The future of Online Poker is equivalent to pushing a snowball down a hill. It picks up speed and gets bigger at the same time.

Glad to see a compact and hopefully other States will jump in the pool soon. By 2015 I'd expect most States to have made their intentions clear. Some politicians are no doubt waiting to see how the political winds are facing, in lieu of Sheldon's pitch, before firming up their stance.
