It's not 0%. I also believe that there are a ton of people who can make around $200 at lets say 1/2 or 2/4 one table and then switch to fold every hand at 2nl for a 8 hours period. It's not se hard. That way I could make maybe more than 35k hands. Just clicking foldin buton.

Stars made a epic beat. The rules should be like only 50nl or 2nl or whatever, but no jumping from limit to limit. He started at 400nl and finish at 2nl, come on...

Stars just advertise their big microstakes rake. Won 7 bucks, pay 800

I think you got my point

Strange seeing pokerstars misstep all over the place now that they have no competition. Opening more tables for their pro for their 'world record' than anyone else can play (on their site) makes the record a bit of a con, and then having a record which really highlights the rake micro stakes players pay to them is just silly, or insulting to poker players. I am sure this 'record' has already been beaten previously anyway. Congrats nanonoko though you seem like a decent bloke.

I'd say with 0 poker knowledge, someone would have a less than 0.1% chance of beating/equalling this.

But I do get your point, the gripe is obviously not with Nano, simply the fact that stake jumping made it easier, should have been run in bb profit, not $.

Everyone complaining...

Bottom line is this is positive exposure for poker. Positive exposure for poker is always good for all of us

Not necessarily. Especially if it increases Pokerstars' dominance, with the way they are raping players at the moment.

this is what i'm saying all the time.

also people who complain about how nano did it. nano had to do what PS told him to do and failure wasn't an option. we should all be thankful that there's a player like nano who can give online poker good exposure and bring more players into game.

really have no idea why he chose nl50 to attempt this "world record" instead of firing up 40 tables of 1/2+2/4+3/6? Is it because he knows there's no way he can profit 40 tabling of mid stakes for 8 hrs? Choosing nl50 to do so seems really ******ed to me.

Only if the person does not exploit the current rules.

It is trivial to be >10% without seeing the hole cards. Snap bet at 10:1 odds.

It should be this. 40 tables, 3/6 for 8 hours looks impossible

Marc Karam was 16 tabling rush. I'm pretty sure he has played way more hands, and profited at some point in an 8 hr span..

i am very confident i could beat his profit, his hands total and also his bb/100 rate over an 8 hour period if i was given the 40 table limit.

i am willing to travel to the isle of mann to play it. if you tell me the costs via pm or e-mail of setting up the guinness people to monitor it i will do it.

same stakes for all hands and i will beat him. deal?
You spend 6 hours a day 24 tabling $0.01/$0.02? No offense intended, but why?

How do you have so much time to play, it can't be for a living at those stakes?

A lot of people need to chill itt

though it's pretty funny he almost couldn't beat the low stakes rake

Judging from the comments I think he actually did not beat the low stakes rake? Didn't he pretty much only win at 1kNL or something?

He made like 450 dollars in RB too, would be interesting to see what stakes he beat with RB and which he didn't.

Nice Nanonoko, 7 bucks in profits and 1 mirrion dollars in rake rape.
Thanks for illuminating how much rake you paid.
Also, I loved your martingale strategy, like at roulette.
The lesson te be learned is move up where Pokerstars respects you rake.

a most roulette spins in 8 hours, must show profit actually sounds like a fun idea. You just need like 8 roulette tables and martingale at every table. No risk at all.

this world record is kinda ****ty
he is the only 1 allowed to play more than 24 tables.
so nobody can break that record , very clever

and the way he played lol
when he was down he won a flip at higher stakes cause otherwise he wouldnt have made a profit
when it was said he would play till 200nl or sum like that

I havent read this thread too much, just some news and info about this record from other sites.

I think the whole thing kind of fell flat. The terms were just bad, and I dont think this record should be official. Or then others need to get the chance to break this record with same rules. I doubt he turned a profit in terms of big blinds, did he? I mean he was clearly chasing losses, and once he was able to get to the green he jumped to play 1 table of nl2 for last 15 mins or so. Just stupid and the spririt of the record attempt kind of died.

Now someone could start by playing highstakes 5bb game, win one flip and go play 50 tables of nl2 autofolding every hand. OK, a bit too extreme of an example, but essentially that should count as an official record if nanonoko's record is official as well. Also, him playing only 1 table for the last 10-15 minutes was strange. I get it, he didnt want to go slightly to the red in profits, but it just means this record is far from being unbeatable, as he could easily have grinded another ~700 hands during that last 10-15 mins.(I know nobody claimed it would be unbeatable, just saying).

I would respect this attempt a lot more if he had played one limit for the whole time, and if he didnt succeed then so be it. He can always try it again.. Nobody would think less of him if he failed to turn profit after 40-tabling for 8 hours small limits. Actually he did fail to turn profit in micros.. but he made it look as if he didnt by chasing losses and managing to win in bigger games.

ps. If he did turn profit in term of big blinds, then I'll shut up and congratulate nanonoko for an amazing feat! Oh, and I still think the man is a beast.
