This is a very basic computer skill, knowing how to post a picture.

I advise no one to give this person their bank account info for "repayment".
Also, his gmail in the OP has a 1 after his name, and the emails in this thread from the victims do not.

Justin, all you need to do is make a 20 second video referring to this thread to prove it is really you. The picture doesn't mean anything. The date is the upload date, not the date it was taken. Someone could have copied it from your fb. It's not proof at all. I hope you can understand this. All these little things (such as not knowing how to post a picture) are starting to add up.

Yes, that was intended to be a Lock joke. I posted it right after I read the OP. It probably needed one of those smiley faces, but even that wouldn't have made it funny.

Sorry to distract from this great thread.

To the OP: Although obviously I could be wrong, you sound sincere to me. I commend you for owning up to your mistakes, and attempting to make amends. Good luck to you.

I don't think it's relevant wether or not the OP sounds sincere, he sounds sincere to me as well.

With the extent and severity of the situation, proof is of necessity for any of this to mean something more than it just being an amusing thread. This has nothing personal to do with the OP, it's just the nature of the medium.

His silence on any of this is just as incriminating as a suspicious explanation, since without proof, these are all just empty words.

I'm contemplating starting a thread where I reveal that I'm D.B. Cooper, so long as you don't ask for any pictures.

If he is so sincere, why not individually contact each person he conned, make arrangements to repay what he took and then drop a "confession" without naming names and dollar amounts?

Forgive me for not having an ounce of sympathy for a thief, nomatter what deity they're currently on good terms with, but all I see in from the OP is essentially-

"Look at who I cleaned out. I'll try to pay you back, but it's going to be hard if you hurt my feelings."

I know 10X more cons who use religion to justify their **** than cons in the poker world, so when one person jumps from one arena to the other, I am Jack's complete lack of empathy.

Identity confirmation should be the bare minimum, and perhaps proof of honesty would also be required, since otherwise this is all just a slap in the face to the victims, having their names appear in the OP, which would amount to rubbing their noses in their own misfortune, if the OP is just playing games.

I find this whole thread very questionable, considering it wouldn't take much effort to confirm any of this.
His identity was confirmed. A admin asked him where he was from and he said texas. Which was the same place that the original scammer was from.

You can help yourself. The Bible offers a pretty simple way to tell who's a scammer: by their deeds, not their words.

Instead of posting long winded diatribes about God, limit your posts to, "today I paid the following people $20 ..."

As soon as your victims start posting that they have received money from you, you're going to see a huge drop in the negative comments about your mental state and whether your account was hacked and whether you're a troll. You're not going to immediately get medals, but at least people will wait to see what you do rather than criticize what you say. And after a few weeks/months, people may actually believe you're serious, and you'll actually get some positive comments.

You'll probably be getting all sorts of positive encouragement by the time you've finished paying back what you stole, but don't let that go to your head - you've simply returned stolen money to its rightful owner. You want to convince people you've been changed by God? Do what Matthew the tax collector did and return 4x what you stole, not just 1x.

I guarantee you after however many years of receiving $20/week from you, people will love to hear the story of how God changed your life.

But for now, you're just another scumbag who talks big on the Internet.

I love this post because I can't tell whether the poster is actually religious, and I don't even care.
There's no conversion message; it's ultimately not about religion, just about doing the right thing.

how is this proof. wouldn't an accomplice know where he was posting from in 2012? this is not a confirmation of identity. It's a confirmation of knowledge of the matter.

He was likely re-selling it to someone else for bank funds, gift cards, etc. To my knowledge, no one has ever been able to reliably cash out on Lock (even back when the going rate was $0.80).
