I Just spent my first full day in the Niagara Falls region of Canada. I got a bank account at TD Canada Trust with no problem (I didn't mention poker). I looked at a couple apartments and will continue searching for the next two days. I just sent an email to FTP asking them about what info I need to send. Update us on what FTPDoug replies to your PM.

Carlos

Hate to seem naive about a topic like this, but if you're 20 minutes from Canada, can't you go across the border, sit down at a Tim Horton's, and play?

So if I am an American player, and I move to Canada and get a bank account there with an address and all that jazz, will FTP be able to release my funds to the Canadian bank account?

not if the address on the account is a US address.

FTP/Pokerstars won't allow anyone play if his address is a US address (regardless of his physical location) or if he is physically in the US (regardless of his home address).

Im looking to be in Canada or England after the series, so if anyone is interested in getting a house/apartment set up let me know. I dont really care about what city, just want to get everything set up ASAP and be able to play again.

Ideally looking for something from anytime after August til the end of this year and then reassess my options for next year.

I know you just got there, but how is the internet. Considering Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica. I've heard nightmares about the internet there, don't know if I could mass table the 180s. When is the rainy season?

Im surprised there was so little love for Prague.

-They welcome self employed individuals to live there as long as you have income and health insurance
-Engrish speaking
-Hot girls
-Great public transportation
-Access to all of euroland

Yeah its ****** cold there, but if thats the biggest negative then seems great to me. Hoping to be moving there within a few months. Feel free to PM me if your also thinking about Prague or anywhere else nearby.

I've been mass tabling mtt's no problem, and the internet is getting better all the time. We have cable internet, DSL will be installed in the next week or so and we also have 3g aircards that deliver 1mb down as well.

As a point of reference, I have been able to 8 table at 1mg speeds, and we get 4mg off the cable. Compared to the states it's slow but it gets the job done. Add in the hot chicks, inexpensive cost of living and the fact its CR and I think the little bit u lose is worth what you gain.

It is the rainy season right now. Rained hard a couple days ago but been nice the last couple days.

You should get one of these and you will be set...

http://cradlepoint.com/products/mbr1...oadband-router

They support devices from mobile broadband carriers all over the world and even if the device is not listed, it still might work but I would research it first or buy it from a company with a good return policy...

Move to Panama

If you catch your spouse with another person being intimate you can kill one or both of them as a crime of passion and not be prosecuted. The crime must happen as soon as you catch them. You cannot like go to a friend’s house, get a gun and return in that this would be premeditative. You could do this with a girlfriend or boyfriend but could be more risky than with a spouse. So you can get away with murder in Panama.

grunching....

out of interest how hard is it for a us guy to get a Canadian visa?

surely that is the way to go?

I just read 'Sandmanness' post and although people are saying you shouldn t have lied about that one thing ( acutally agree with that once you said the rest) i think you should have just left it as i am going on holiday or to visit a friend. I think once you mention poker then alarm bells will be ringing.

if you just said i am going for holiday then surely there would be no questions asked? Even you go to the casino's or what ever that is what people do on holiday.

All I did to get a Visa and live in thailand over a year ago was send a letter to consulate in uk. send £100 + my reason (going to visit friends lol ive never been there before or met them). This year they asked me for an address where i was going to 'visit' or where my firends are living. that was it. No problems at all after that, as far as airport and anyone else that wants to know i am 'travelling' or 'visiting my friends'.

Sorry i have no idea if this would be anything like going from us to Canada. maybe they just dont want you guy there or something.

I know the us guys coming here have a harder time staying longer then 6-9 months. I think that is max stay for their visa's unless they get educational visas or something like that.

That is another thing. if you wanted to move to canada or another country can you not in-role on a minimal university course and then gain entry in a more legit/easier fashion? Like something that is only required to attend for 2 days of the week and has a low fee?
again i dont know about these things and just thinking off the top of my head.

Anyone know anything about living in Cabo San Lucas (or Mexico in general)? Internet any good? I am assuming it would be very easy to get some type of visa and there are many great, cheap places like this...

Sorry, no Canadian university will permit anyone to in-role.
