Aaron Sorkin is a fantastic writer, but whomever approved this trailer needs to be sacked...I read the book, and I was totally confused....hopefully the movie is better.
Michael Cera as Tobey seems pretty entertaining, but Jessica Chastain seems a good decade too old to be playing Molly...Jessica is 40, and Molly was in her mid/late twenties?
Of course I'll see it...as I do every poker movie!

I read the book and it is boring. It is a boring book surrounding one interesting anecdote. The one about Tobey Maguire asking her to bark like a seal for 20k.

So what's the line "families, lives and careers will be ruined" all about? Because people will be outed for playing in a poker game? LOL.

I feel the same way about Maguire doing that as I do Perkins when he does a variation of it.
Most bizarre part of the whole thing is a bankruptcy trust sued and settled with a bunch of players that won money off the bankruptcie. As such, they were regarded by the court as bankruptceries and had to pay up money to the bankrupties who were owed money from the bankruptcee. bankruktkey.
I love Aaron Sorkin movies usually, but this trailer was just confusing to me. Why does it appear that Molly's laywer is the second most important character?

I thought the book was entertaining. Not groundbreaking or anything but an interesting quick read.
I think the preview focuses on the court case to make it seem like it's more of a legal thriller than about poker. It will appeal to a broader audience that way. I just hope the movie is like the book and focuses on the poker and less on the trial.
