obv it's bad press, but they're in no obligation to pay, if they do, it's just a sign of goodwill

What´s more, the rake percentage is also much, much higher in play money. Pokerstars can do this mostly because those who just ran it up from free 1k don´t care anyway.

It doesn't work for Russian as they use numbers as stand-ins for some of the Cyrillic letters which are not part of the Latin alphabet...

In which case it would fall under the category of an unlicensed lottery.

Also - they can never be paid out anything - if it is possible to both buy play money chips (which it is) and get money back from them then they are no different to casino chips.
