But I was on a table today where it got pretty rowdy and personal. Overall though, seems pretty tame.

I can't sign on from my home PC, Windows 7. Apparently my PC does not have a wifi card? Any thoughts? Also, security@pokerstarsmi will not respond after 2 days

Please use this thread going forward for things specific about the site as this thread is about the legislation. A few users in this or that thread said they had to buy and use a USB WiFi dongle on their desktop.

Is Will Hill and twinspires legal here? I am getting Facebook ads from them and the bonuses don't look bad. Reminds me of The old days of bonus whoring. That was terrific. Related question. If they are legal, Is it one person per household allowed to use the bonus?

I see the TwinSpires promo ads on Facebook, but I don't see the same promos on their actual page to look over the rules, so I've yet to even touch them.

As far as 1 bonus per household, it's all in the rules, when you can find them.

Fozzy, you support HM3 or PT4? I think eventually settled on HM back in the day

I work for the HM3 side of Max Value Software. I generally only use PT4 when testing HM3 bugs to let the developers know if it affects one or both trackers.

I won't say 'don't try it', but I will say I won't be back once I withdraw my money.

Thanks. I'll stay away. Here's a bad beat. Fanduel had 55:1 promo to pick the winner of the game. Max bet was only $5, but still. I picked Tampa. After reading the rules again yesterday morning I saw that it only applies if you pick the money line option. I did not pick that option! I emailed them three times yesterday morning and asked them to switch it over. No word yet, but I guess they are really backed up.

These risk free bets are real easy money right? I read the terms and conditions, am I missing something? If I do it across all the sportsbooks in MI it equals to like $4k in EV...

Be careful here. Some sites define risk free differently

ScreaminAsian's michigan sportsbook bonus reviews:

1. Barstool: app is smooth, beautiful interface, 1000 risk free bet is credited as site credit that is available to withdraw after 1x playthrough on bets longer than -200

2. Fanduel: same deal as barstool. Top app imo

3. Betrivers: 100% deposit bonus up to 250 is decent and they give your bonus right away. Only 1x playthrough so pretty cool. Their app is slow and the user interface is bad. If I want to check my open bets it's like almost hidden from me.

4. Betmgm: I actually won my first bet so I can't attest to their risk free promotion but I was able to cash out very quickly and easily. Their app looks nice but is slow compared to the better apps

5. Pointsbet: user interface and functionality of this app are up there with the best of them. They also are the only site to offer lightning bets, which they call pointsbets. The risk free bets are bad, though. 500$ risk free single bet, and up to 1500 risk free on your first pointsbet. I didn't get my free bet credited for a couple days so I contacted support through their chat and they settled the issue quickly, but it kinda seemed like they didn't know what they're doing. But the WORST part of their promotion is the risk free bet isn't in site credits, it's as a single block (so like a $500 single bet if you want to max it out) and they only pay out the winnings of the free bet, unlike barstool and fanduel who give you the whole win.

William hill: lame site, weird interface, same free bet scam promo pointsbet offers

Golden nugget: their app won't function unless you give it access to your contacts and all your files lol so I didn't even look further but from what I see they're a disaster

Draftkings: no great bonuses here except the free money they put in my account for signing up pre launch. App is smooth functioning but interface is overly busy

Pointsbets has a button somewhere to chop up large free bets into smaller bets.

Thank you for the reviews above.

After spending some time with some of these apps, here's my reviews (**Desktop user; Sports better):

BetRivers: I keep going back to this app, even though the sports betting interface isn't the best i.e scores aren't posted next to betting lines, so you have to click on the game in order to see the score. A great nod I must give to BetRivers is that I can bet on just about any game e.g. I can bet on games at BetRivers that Fanduel doesn't offer. Hence, the reason why I keep going back to BetRivers.

As far as promotions, I'm not too impressed i.e. extra 'boost' here and there, but nothing else of interest to me. I tend to recommend this app to beginners as the deposit bonus is easy to clear i.e. 1x wager requirement. The interface is quick when selecting between sports/casino. Cash out time was within 24 hours.

PointsBet: Interface is meh i.e. games disappear and re-appear. I've seen many scores that are 'frozen' so I have to check a different source for scores from time to time.

As I mentioned above with BetRivers, some games that I can't find on BetRivers, I can find on PointsBet, but then there's times when I can't find games on PointsBet that I can find on BetRivers. The only reason I occasionally open this app is due to the games I can't find on BetRivers, and I like their promotions. Cash out time was within 24 hours.

BetMGM: I haven't used this app much since launch. Promotions tend to lean on heavy wager requirements. Switching between casino/sports is seamless. I also had to make a deposit before being able to withdraw money; DraftKings let me withdraw without making a deposit. I'm keeping my balance for a future promotion opportunity, so I have no review on cash out times.

DraftKings: As I mentioned above, BetRivers gets most of my sports betting wagers, but I do like DraftKings when the time's I've been here. The transition between sports/casino is seamless. Promotions seem decent, and from time to time, they offer guaranteed 'no brainer' bets to existing users. Cash out time was within 24 hours.

TwinSpires: I've already given my review in a previous post in this thread. Promotions seem decent. Transitioning between sports/casino is seamless. Cash out time was 5 days. Overall, this app has given me nothing but trouble. I'm only here for the occasional decent promotion.

FanDuel: As I mentioned above, there's a lot of games that this app doesn't allow me to bet on, therefore I rarely use it. Transitioning between casino/sports in NOT seamless; I have to sign back in every time I transition between the two. Promotions are meh; they offer the occasional 'spread the love' boost to existing customers. but nothing else that's worth it to me. Cash out time was within 24 hours.

FoxBet: Transitioning between poker/casino/sports is seamless. Promotions seem solid. App has frozen at times, and I have to close app and open it back up in order to get it to work again. I have not cashed out yet, so I can't give a review on withdrawal times.

I thought the same thing...I signed up for Golden Nugget.

I should have read the "small print". If I had done that, I would have never signed up. Too much play was required to "unlock" your deposit match bonus.

The tech support for Golden Nugget is in the USA (New Jersey), and they are very polite & nice (good). The bad is that you have to WAIT a long time to talk/chat with them. I am talking like 45 minutes wait time. Emails to tech support are not returned.

Cashing out was also a problem...not quick at all. I finally had to call in to tech support to get it after 5 days. Once I got through and explained it to them, it was handled within 10 minutes. Should be automatic though and one should not have to call in to cash out.

Some parts of their website were also closed/non-functional to MI residents.

Golden Nugget is clearly not ready to be running in MI from a technical point of view.

After my experience with online gaming, I would NOT do it again, and would advise others against it. The match bonuses are simply not worth it.

Easy money bonuses are simply not there like they were in the before times.

Can someone let me know what poker sites are available and where the best sign up deposit bonuses are?

Been over ten years since I have played online and excited to get back into it.

Thanks

https://www.pokerstarsmi.com/ is the only regulated MI poker site right now AFAIK. Party/BetMGM is supposed to be online soon.

Yes .. as above

STARS600 will get you a 'match' up to $600 which will be given to you in $10 increments based on your play. Pretty sure you can deposit more than once with that code but you will be limited to $600 max bonus. There is a timetable in order to recover the bonus and that information will be available to you in your 'account'.

Go to the Poker Stars thread for more specific information .. other than the App is very limited compared to playing on a PC. GL

So far Draft Kings has been my best in terms of free $. Got $35 free no deposit, opted into a $100 free of casino credits with only 1x wagering requirement, and current promo if you bet an NBA team and they make a 3 pointer you get $100 in free bets. All in all about $200. I came up to grind poker, but that is a few nights of free hotels. Money was received via PayPal in about 12 hours.

Nevada doesn't have Stars or Party (about to get Party), so there's nothing to join.

I'd guess NJ/PA are joined with MI by July. Nothing official yet, but there has been a lot of chatter.

Later this year at the earliest is the latest news I've read, and that news mentioned that Michigan Gaming Control Board was in talks with NJ; PA wasn't mentioned at the time.
