Interesting format, I like it, hadn't heard or seen of this yet, thoughts? See 2nd page Feb. 19th event.

Just have to say on a completely different note, anybody ever watch her vlogs on youtube? I watched a couple when she played some tournaments in Vegas this summer. She literally is the happiest most positive person I have ever seen doing those kinds of vlogs. She takes bad beats, she is upbeat and hopeful. Even when she gets knocked out she is talking about how friendly the table was and is literally smiling in every shot of her.

She seems like a really cool girl in the poker scene. Ashley Sleeth.

Thought it was going to be a 1k with a guarantee or something.

No need to soften a $200 nightly.

So why did you remove the tweet about this from Ashley? Weird.

How is registration handled? Cashiers will look up everyone's Hendon Mob before allowing them to sign up?

I'd guess it's an honor system and they verify everybody after bubble bursts. Either way, risk of getting DQ'd is not worth trying to sneak in; super low EV

I thought some casinos dont report certain smaller buyin mtts to hendon. those could add up but still keep you under 25k

I think it's more aimed at gauging level of experience rather than skill. But in general it's probably safe to say that someone with $25k of cashes would be better than someone with less than that

Good intentions but seems pretty unnecessary and maybe even detrimental. It only serves to cut out the career microstakes grinders who are probably a good portion of the regular entrants for a $200 event. Anyone with 25k+ Hendon mob firing a $200 is probably pretty mediocre at poker anyways. Might as well let them have fun, play and contribute to the prize pool.

It’s a 200 dollar event so 25k is prob fine getting pure recs and the weaker daily players to play…it also I think is during day 2 of the main so don’t think they are expecting a huge turn-out for it…if it were to be a larger buy-in, I think you would be correct.

I agree, but the cost of trying is so low that they might as well run the experiment

They just announced on twitter they are canceling the series because of the Omicron variant spreading all over the place.

Maryland Live has a series in a couple of weeks including a $250,000 guarantee $600 opening event and a $2200 main event with a $300,000 guarantee. I'm betting this gets canceled soon as well. Imo good luck with any kind of real series on the east coast indefinitely. If you want to play good tournament poker it's pretty much Florida and Las Vegas right now.
