This was extremely admirable/generous of him. He is definitely a solid ambassador of Poker and hopefully others will following in his footsteps.

Thanks for posting. Love to see this and wish we did more and reported it better. I think it's a really great thing for those of us who can make money so easily and in such a fun way to use it for good for so many who cannot.

Donating to charities is stupid, almost as stupid as tipping is. That is just not an effective or a fair way of helping people who need help. To exaggerate, they are just an easy way for rich people to buy themselves a good conscience. If some people need help the society should take of those issues through regular taxation rather than the random lottery of "hmm should I donate to kittens with AIDS relief or the dyslexic orphans of Haiti".

i feel like i'm probably getting leveled here, but if you want to give teddy bears to European orphans why don't you just give teddy bears to European orphans? why would you need to have a charity do it for you?
